The Wonderful World of Disney

Louisa's Magical Disney Journey

11.1.2007: GET OUT! Oh I'm sorry, how rude of me... GET OUT! and have a magical day.

So today was our last day in Florida!   We got up at the crack of dawn to go do imigration in the Walt Disney Theatre.  Fun...not!  That's what we get for being internationals!  So we had to sit for ages before we were allowed to go up and have passports stamped and stuff.  Afterwards, we went to have breakfast in Aminator's Palate, and then it was time to leave the ship!  Once in the terminal, we had to find our luggage, and once again get them back into the car.  Then it was back off to Orlando so we could check in at Downtown Disney.  Here the palava started!  One of the  suitcases was too heavy, so we had to go to the Flea market to get two more.  That meant we had seven suitcases between us and had to pay for the seventh!  Oh well.  We then went back to Vista so I could put the suitcase we were not using in the donation bin!

Now seeing as this was our last day, we were going to go to Seaworld.  Bit of a waste of time if you ask me.  When we got there we realised we'd missed the last Shamu show, Journey to Atlantis wasn't open (being refurbed by the look of it!) and I still didn't feel well enough from the choppy seas to go on Kraken.  So that didn't leave much to do.  We spent a lot of time over with the dolphins and looking at the manatees and saw the seal show!  I love it; the mime who does the sketch beforehand, it was so funny!   So was the show!  At one point something went wrong and one of the women in the cast couldn't stop laughing (it was hilarious) so they started that scene again.  The only good bit of the day if you ask me!

So then it was time to head to the airport, drop off the car and get to the gate.  That's the good thing about checking in early at DTD...you don't have to get to the airport so early!  So right now we're waiting to board, and my next post will most likely be my last!  I might leave it a couple of weeks until I settle back in home, or maybe untul I get back to university.

So for now, I bid you all farewell, and I'll see you all again where magic lives!

10.1.2007: One Day More

Well today is our last day on the ship!  We didn't do much today.  The ship was achored at sea, and that was NOT INTELLIGENT!  I've never felt so seasick!  In fact, I've never been seasick!  Anyway, we went to see Santa Claus 3 at the Buena Vista Cinema, and went to Captain's Corner in the Walt Disney Theatre where we could ask questions about the Disney Wonder.  I don't remember any of the questions or answers though!  So we also did the packing...they come to pick up the suitcases the day before disembarking so we can pick them up on dry land!

Our last dinner was once again in Animator's Palate...and then we went to see Disney Dreams!  This show is soooo good.  It really is all about the Disney magic!  They always have farewell activities on the last night, but that was too depressing so we just came back to the room and watched some TV!

So now it's bedtime....back on shore tomorrow!  And to Sea World!  Night x

9.1.2007: Come fly with me!

So the first thing we did today was arrive at Castaway Cay!  We had breakfast and then went on to the island to claim our spots on the sun loungers.  I then had to head off to my parasailing excursion.  Rowan came with me to video, but Mum stayed on the beach hehe.  So I went off in the boat, with a bunch of other people, and it was brilliant!  We sat our in the sea while others had a go (some people felt ill!) and before I knew it I was up in the air!  There’s nothing scary about parasailing.  It was hard to see stuff though without my glasses on.  On the journey back we went really fast and that was awesome too as I was sat at the front on the speedboat.

So afterwards Rowan and I set out to do the pirate scavenger hunt.  We had to answer clues and find letters that made up a word where the treasure was buried.  It was really hard, but we found it in the end!  We got pirate coins… avast ye scallywags!  We then stayed and play shuttleboard and shot baskets and played giant chess and stuff.  It was a pretty relaxing day really!  We spent a bit of time on the beach, and then headed back to the ship.  Tonight it was the Pirates IN the Caribbean party.  First we went to see the Golden Mickey’s (me wearing the golden sequin Mickey ears I got at property control).  It was funny seeing the passengers come in on the big screen.  The woman behind me asked if I was going to take my ears off when the show started….duh!  I’m not stupid, I was just wearing them for the occasion!

I love the Golden Mickey’s.  Each of the shows are so good!  I want to be in them!  If I don’t get the CRP, then maybe I’ll do the cruise line one day.  So dinner tonight was at Triton’s.  Once again, we got pirate bandanas for the party.  It’s shame our dinner is before the party because there’s always a buffet but we’re too full to eat.  Once again Mickey saved the ship from Captain Hook and Smee, and then we had a little dance party.  So cool!

Right, it’s bedtime once again…tomorrow is our last day and it’s our day at see.  Apparently they’re going to anchor the ship to do some tests…so there we are.

Night! Xx

8.1.2007: Day 2 in the Big Disney Cruise

Woo it was excursion day today!  We once again went to Beach Blanket Buffet, because there’s just so much variety.  It’s always very busy too.  Then at 10.15am we let at Diversions to meet our group for the Thriller Powerboat!  We walked off the ship and onto shore following our guide.  When we got to the boat, we then had to get on!  This was not as easy as it seemed, but we all managed it without falling in the water.  The boat was very fast and I had to keep holding onto my hat!  We travelled around the islands near Nassau and went near the Paradise Island hotel.  The suite in the middle of the hotel is where Michael Jackson once stayed, as well as other celebrities, and it costs a snip at $25,000 a night!  You can’t book anything less than two weeks and it’s booked up until 2011.  Obviously, we’ve booked three weeks in 2012. Hehe.  We also went into a lagoon where they did special dolphin swims (i.e. very expensive!) and we saw a couple of them, but nothing spectacular.

After the boat ride we wandered around Nassau for a bit and ran around the Straw Market because it smelt really bad!  Then it was back to the ship.  There’s not much to do on Nassau unless you want to shop or have booked more than one excursion, but we were quite happy to get back on the ship!  We went back to Wavebands again to have a Castaway Club members meet and greet.  We had quizzes to fill out and we were able to tell the British entertainment manager that Disney should create a cruise itinerary that goes to Calais, Dover and the Isle of Wight.  So that should be happening in the near future!  We then headed to the Promenade to collect our pirate scavenger maps for Castaway Cay tomorrow.  Then we lounged for a bit, before heading to the Walt Disney Theatre once again!  Tonight the show was Hercules: The MUSE-ical!  This show is so funny and I’m so glad I’ve seen it because they’re changing it at some point.  Hope the next one is just as good!

Tonight’s dinner was at Animator’s Palate and tonight we were allowed to dress up in posh stuff.  No change for us there, we always go posh!  Our servers are very good.  The crew member who gets our drinks spends ages talking to Rowan about cricket…it’s so funny!  We never seem to be able to get away haha.

So right now we’re off to bed.  It’s been a long day and tomorrow we’ll be on Castaway Cay.  I’m going parasailing!  Can’t wait.  Night x

7.1.2007: Leaving for the cruise!

So we finished packing last night, and today we went off to Port Canaveral to get on the Disney Wonder.  Yay!  The first dilemma was getting all the suitcases in the car!  There’s no way American cars are big enough to get so many suitcases in…after all, we did have six!  It must have taken at least 45 minutes to get them all in; I think Rowan and I had a suitcase on our laps.  You simply couldn’t move in the car!  Mum was alright though.

So afterwards we left the Animal Kingdom Lodge and said goodbye to Disney! *sob*.  I was so excited though so I didn’t really think about leaving!  So we set on our way to Port Canaveral.  This time we didn’t get lost, and took the right roads!  I took a video as we got nearer…it’s very exciting seeing the ship as you come over the hill!  We pulled up next to the terminal and took four suitcases out of the car (we left two in the boot) and one split open!  That shows how full they were!  Then we took the car to the car park and made our way back.  We checked in (at a Castaway Club desk…kinda like the first class ones at the airport ) and got our special Castaway Club landyards.  Then came the time to get on the boat!  We queued for a little bit, but made sure that this time we were wearing decent clothes for the photo!  They read out our family name as we entered the atrium, but as we were one of the first ones on the ship, there was no one to clap for us!  Thank goodness, it’s quite embarrassing really.

We were quite lucky, our room was ready when we arrived so we went and had lunch at the Beach Blanket Buffet, before going to our room.  It was very nice, with a big balcony and it was decorated in birthday stuff for my birthday :D  How awesome!  I’ll definitely be bringing it home with me.  The first thing Rowan did when he got in the room was turn the TV on. LOL.  Typical.  I also got a cake, canapés and champagne!  So I had a couple of glasses of that…I’m not sure it was the best thing seeing as I haven’t had any alcohol for 11 months!  We unpacked, and then had to don our glamorous life jackets for the mandatory boat drill at 4pm!  We then had to head to Deck 4 for each cabin to line up in height order.  Mum found out she’d be getting on the lifeboat first!  At least I was second.  We then headed back to the room and then up to the main deck for the Sail Away Celebration.  This is full of characters and music and lots of waving to the people on the shore and dancing to the YMCA.  Who would not love that???  We went out in true M25 fashion with all the ships following each other.  I even had a rum cocktail…again, probably not a good thing.

At 6.15pm we headed to the Walt Disney Theatre to see a guy called Taylor Mason and his puppets.  We decided this year to do the show first and then have dinner, but unlike last time, the theatre was quite full and there were lots of kids whereas they should have been having dinner and going to the later show!  Taylor Mason was soooooooo funny.  Look him up on youtube.  Afterwards we wandered around and had a couple of photos taken before heading to Parrot Cay for dinner.  There were 8 of us on a table, although I think if we go on another cruise we might ask for a table on our own.  After dinner we headed to Wavebands to take part in WonderQuest!  This is an adult scavenger hunt and was mucho hilarious!  We had Rowan wearing my shoes, we almost tore a hole in a sock to fulfil that challenge until Mum realised a sock already had a hole in it, Rowan almost stripped off for me to take his trousers up before we learnt he could wear them, we borrowed someones $100 bill and I had an argument about whether my hair was blond or not.  Though how the woman in the DJ booth could see the colour of my hair, I don’t know.  We also had to take a picture of a senior crew member.  There was only one in the room!  We didn’t win, but we know what’s expected of us next time, so we’ll go well prepared!  We then stayed in Wavebands to see some more of Taylor Mason.  This time his jokes were more suited to adults and even more hilarious!

It’s been a long day, so now we’re off to bed!

 Night xx

6.1.2007: Busch Gardens/Florida Mall

Well today we got up early to go to Busch Gardens.  I really love this place; for the rides that is, not so much the animals.  I always feel that they look unhappy, and should be in Animal Kingdom, if not the wild!  So as usual, we headed off to Rhino Rally first.  This is so cool.  Mum took the reins and took us down the rapids and then got picked on for the rest of the trip.  We then made our way to Timbuktu to do the Scorpion.  This ride really scares me as it goes upside down but there's no over the shoulder restraints!  It made me go very dizzy.  We then went to Cheetah Chase.  Mum goes on this one and it's so funny hehe.  At least it doesn't wobble like the one at Chessington!  We then did Kumba and the Congo River Rapids, getting totally wet as usual.  It's hilarious watching other people on it.  Then, like always, we went to the machines and used quarters to spray people on the rapids.  HA!

We then walked over to StanleyVille, and Rowan and I did the Stanley Falls Flume.  We never do Tidalwave, as I don't like getting that wet, and I've had enough experience of that ride at Thorpe Park.  The of course, we went oh SheiKra.  I heart this ride!  It's so thrilling, and much better than Obilvion anyday!  The only problem is that I can never see the photos because I don't have my glasses on!

The there's Gwazi.  I'm not a big fan of wooden rollercoasters since my experience at Parc Asterix, but I've done Gwazi before so of course we did it again.  But this time we sat right at the back. BIG MISTAKE!  I was flung around so much, what was left of my brain had turned to scrambled eggs.  Never, ever again.  Maybe.

We didn't ride Montu this time.  It was just too hot and I hate the way it sucks the blood from my feet.  Then they hurt and I can't enjoy the ride.  So we left the park and drove to the Florida Mall.  Mum bought a dress from the Macy's store...it's very nice, we just need a ball to go to now!

Anyway, tomorrow we are off on the Cruise tomorrow!  I can't wait, it's going to be so much fun.  We're doing the 4 night this time, instead of the 3 night, so we will have a day at sea to do what we want!

5.1.2007: Last day in Disney

Yes, today was my last day in a Disney park, and even then it was only in the evening.  We firstly went to do some last minute shopping (as if we hadn't bought everything Disney has to sell anyway!) before we sealed up my boxes.  Yes that's right, I'm shipping boxes home because I have so much stuff.  Three of them to be exact.  We took all of our stuff back to the Animal Kingdom Lodge and packed it all up, before sealing the boxes.  We then all jumped back in the car and headed to the post office.  What a pavlova (yes I mean that) we had here!  Firstly, I had filled out the wrong forms, so we had to do that all over again, and then we found out I had written the addresses on the box the wrong way round, so we had to write those again.  Boo.  In the end we got it all done and then headed back off to the Commons.  They had called me yesterday (at AKL) to tell me they had underpaid me in my last paycheck and flight refund, so I had to go and get another one.  Only problem was I had already handed in my Vista ID yesterday so the security guard watched me all the way up to the International Programs Office.  It didn't take very long though so that was good.  We then headed back to our room and got changed before going to the Magic Kingdom.  We did a lot of rides and then got our spots for Wishes.  It was weird to think that this was my last time watching Wishes, but all in all I felt content and kind of happy that I was going home.  I think I just want to get it over and done with and look forward to coming back one day!  We hung around to see the Kiss Goodnight.  I had my Tell-A-Cast but for some reason the first one didn't happen.  We caught the second showing but they only did the audio, not any of the castle lighting which was really a complete waste of time. Oh well, it was a nice end to my program.  Tomorrow we're going to Busch Gardens and the Florida Mall, and the day after that it's the cruise.  Yay!

Night xx

4.1.2007: Animal Kingdom Lodge!

Yay! Today we moved to AKL.  It is very, very nice.  It's being in a proper hotel rather than a resort.  Anyway, so we dragged the suitcases to the room, and mad ea reservation at Boma.  Everyone says it's a great restaurant, so I can't wait to try it!  Anyway, after that, we drove back to Vista so I could see Dean.  We had a good chat about the program and how I felt about leaving, and then it was goodbye!

Then came the moment to pack all my stuff into the car .  Not as easy as you might think!  I shudder to think how we're going to get all the suitcases home. I took some stuff up to the donation place, and people were already looking for stuff!  I think my lamp disappeared haha.  We made a stop off at Chatham to deliver a bunch of my stuff to Ona, so she could make good use of it, unlike I did.  We then went back to the Commons (all three complexes in one day!) to get my airline money.  Now seeing as my flight home is already paid for and the exchange rate is so bed, that's all shopping money!

We went to Denny's for lunch, and then headed back to AKL to sort all my stuff out into boxes to take to the post office tomorrow.  The it was time for Boma!  It really was amazing, and our server was brilliant.  Plus the food was awesome!  I ate so much it was unbelievable; don't think I'll need to eat for a week!

Anyway it's another early start tomorrow, so we're off to bed.  Night! xx

31.12.2006: iPod!!! and HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaay I have a new iPod!  It's a black 80G one and I got a pink cover for it to protect my new gadget.  I got my 6% CM discount as well.  Mum bought a ballgown from Macey's (lots of dithering with this...until in the end I just told her to get it!  She did get 10% off afterall...).  So otherwise we didn't buy much, but anyway I had to be at work at 4pm.  Only a short shift today, but once again the park was manic.  After work I raced over to Epcot on the monorail so I could meet Mum and Rowan at World Showcase to see the fireworks.  Honestly, I thought I was going to have a heart attack the way those New Years fireworks came out!  It felt like I was being hit with something!  Anyway, they were awesomeness to a t!  Anyway, back at the resort now and off to bed... PO is awesome!  I love the rooms.

Night! x

30. 12. 2006: New Years Eve Eve!

Well this morning Mum and Rowan moved to Port Orleans Riverside, but I had a lie in at Vista before heading to work at 3pm!  So at MK they do the New Years Eve fireworks twice, so that guests can see both the MK and Epcot ones.  It was packed today!  The crews were good and all was fun; still full of Christmas spirit methinks!  So after work (which finished at 11.30pm!) I went over to the bakery to give Heather her present!  It turned out really well and I'm so pleased with it!  Then it back off to outside Casey's to find Mum and Rowan so we could watch Fantasy in the Sky.  It's such an amazing New Years firework spectacular...I'm glad I got to see it as a guest!  Tomorrow its the Epcot ones and I will have time to get there to see them, so all is well.  We're off to the Florida Mall tomorrow as well...hopefully I can get my iPod from the Apple Store there, after mine was stolen .  Oh well, we're in PO now so I guess I should sleep!  Night x

26.12.2006: Epcot Day!

So having gone back to the hotel last night after work, we got up fairly early this morning to go to Epcot.  We had a reservation at Le Cellier for 3pm, so we spent the day doing attractions and stuff, before going over to Le Cellier.  I was already in the clothes I would be wearing for the Candlelight Processional, but I thought we might be pushing it a bit for time, so I asked the girl at the podium if she could get us a table a little quicker due to the fact that I would be singing.  She did quite well!, we only waited about 10 minutes.

So we were seated, and who else would be serving us but Tessa!  She let us have the chedder soup (which was gorgeous!) as well as another starter (the crab was nice but remind me never to eat smoked salmon again).  We then all had beef on chedder mash (YUM!) and then desert which was gorgeous (except I can't remember what it was!).

So after lunch I headed over to get the bus to the Italy Pavilion to sign in for the shows.  It was a good evening, with no sign of rain or anything.  Apparently it was quite cold, but I didn't feel it.  So Mum was going to be filming me at the first show I was doing.  I told her get a seat in the middle and wave my flashing light stick so I would know where they were.  However, they didn't, although I didn't know that until afterwards, and someone else waved a flashing stick so I thought it was them!  So there I was looking completely in the wrong direction until the very end when everyone was leaving and I saw them.  Duh.  Oh well at least I'm on video now, and sometime when I get back I'll put them on youtube or something.

Anyway, we didn't stay to watch Illuminations as we were all very tired and were going to Universal Studios the next day, so we went back to Colorado Springs.  Funnily enough, when we got on the bus, Brynna and her family were sitting at the back!  What a coincedence!  It turned out they were staying at Colorado Springs too!

So right now I'm really, really tired and have to get up early tomorrow.

Night x

13.12.2006: Candlelight Processional with the California Cast Choir!

Today I spent the whole day doing nothing except hanging around on the portal and waiting for someone to drop a Candlelight performance.  Luckily in the end they dropped a 5pm show, which is awesome because the Candlelight Cast Choir were singing that one.  So I took at performance and earlier than usual I made my way over to Epcot.  It was weird going on the stage when it was so light, but I felt very important to be singing with the California Cast Choir (the ones who sing in the tree over there.  They only do two days of shows so they have to audition to be part of the main tree).  Unfortunately, as we went on it looked like rain, so we were all given umbrellas to walk across to the Garden Theatre.  It didn't rain on the way over there, but it started chucking it down during the performance and still was when it was time to go backstage!  The crowd was considerably smaller than usual, but as we walked off we ran out of umbrellas so most people got soaked.  It's a good job I didn't decide to do the two late performances!  I would have looked horrible.

So now I'm just sitting in my apartment and will probably watch a DVD!

Toodles xx

4.12.2006: Happy Birthday to Me!

Hehe yes today is my birthday.  I'm now 21 and can legally drink.  Not that I'm going to, I think one sip and I'd be on the floor.  Anyway, this morning I got up at 7am so I could wash and dry my hair ready for the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique.  I caught the F bus at 9.05 and it took ages to get there!  So they gave me my pager and I wandered around for a bit looking at stuff in the World of Disney, and go my birthday button (they don't give out the old ones anymore ).  Then the pager went off and I returned to the Boutique and my Fairy Godmother in Training, Beth, took me to my seat and started to do my hair.  It felt very weird, and there was a Photopass Photographer taking pictures of me (some of which look very weird).  I had the multicoloured hair piece, which she stuck in with lots of pins that hurt my head.  She then put very nice smelling gel in my hair and did my makeup (which I got to keep woo!) and then took her wand and sprinkled me with so much glitter that it was everywhere!  I loved my hair though!  It was so colourful.  I got pointed out by little kids all day long, who thought I was a fairy (because I was wearing fairy wings).  I also had my musical 21 button all day (annoying Ona immensly haha).  So when I had my hair done I went over to MK to drop in some chocolates for the skippers (who all wished me Happy Birthday).  It kind of upset me that more CM's didn't wish me Happy Birthday, I think more guests did actually!  Anyway I went and rode Snow White's Adventures and got straight on, and then used a Re-ad to get on Winnie the Pooh,  but the guy gave it back to me .  So after that Ona called and I met her at the TTC.  We then caught the bus to Disney MGM Studios.  We did the Great Movie Ride, and then went to Sweet Spells (where they gave me a mashmallow on a stick covered in white chocolate and M 'n' M's) and then we headed over to Beauty and the Beast.  I wanted 4 for a Dollar to sing for me, but they weren't doing the preshow.  Boo.  Oh well, after MGM we went to Epcot.  Actually we took the boat from MGM over to Epcot and walked through International Gateway.  We watched the end of The World Showcase Players doing their Christmas play (sooooo funny) and then went to Mouse Gear.  I love that shop.  Erm, we did Spaceship Earth (I think we were the only ones on it!) and did lots of pin trading (I got some really good ones!)  We then decided to make our way over to Wilderness Lodge for dinner.  Ona and I got there about 30 minutes early so we went upstairs and sat by the fire for ages.  Kaori then arrived and went to have dinner!  We each had the Canyon Skillet, which is basically an all you can eat dish with pork, ribs, sausages, mash potato, beans, chicken and vegetables!  It was very nice and very filling!  It's a great place to eat, they do really random stuff, like for one woman's birthday she had to gallop around the room on a hobby horse singing 'happy birthday to me'.  Haha.  I didn't have to do anything like that, but there was a woman on the phone, and they made the guy on the other end sing to me.  Haha it was very funny!  At the end of the meal they brought out a cake (yay!) and they all sang happy birthday, then gave me a box to take it home in.  So after dinner we all came home.  Tomorrow I'm off to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, but otherwise I'm staying in all day!  Woo!  So it's been a jolly good day indeed!  Now I just have to get the gel out of my hair..actually I might just sleep with it in   Night xx

30.11.2006: A day doing nothing!

That's right, today I did absolutely nothing.  I woke up at 10 and went to go get two packages I had at the Front desk, as well as get out Tarzan from the learning centre.  I've never seen that film before, it's so good!  I then had lunch and watched some more TV, finished my last assignment for class, and made some gingerbread cookies!  They are so good.  This evening I went to check the mail, bumped into Gav along the way, and bought some christmas cards at Walgreens.  I then hung out at Gav's for a bit before coming home and making some gingerbread cake.  That is so good too!  So right now I've just finished watching 'Single Santa Seeks Mrs Claus' which is a very good film on Halmark, and I'm considering going to bed or doing some more of my blog.  I have my second to last class tomorrow and I really don't want to get up early, but oh well, I don't start work until 4.15.  Anyway I should be off, got to put my cake away.  Night xx

29.11.2006: My First Show!

Today has been a very stressful, but exciting day!  I got up early this morning, washed and dried my hair, and then headed off to Walmart.  I got some red tights and a red t-shirt to go with my outfit for the christmas party...I wanted white shoes but they didn't have any...stupid place!  I got a few other bits and bobs...including some 'cresent rolls' which are really croisants that you bake yourself, and some milk.  So I came back and finished getting ready for the Candlelight Processional.  We have to wear all black so I had to wear my old black work shoes...boo.  Then I caught the bus to AK as Randy and I were going to watch Finding Nemo: The Musical.  It was raining...grrrr which meant my hair started to go frizzy (off all the days to rain) and so that put me in a bad mood.  After AK we headed over to Epcot and went to the Wonders of Life Pavilion...it's only open for Christmas, and what a blast from the past it was.  We only had enough time to do Cranium Command (which I really miss) before I had to run off to backstage Italy.  I signed in, handed my music back and then went to collect my robe.  We have a light gold collar to wear, a green robe and a green sequined..erm...I have no idea what it's called, but anyway it goes around your kneck.  I looked every good I think.  Then we all had to line up (being one of the taller Alto's I was about the 5th/6th row down surrounded by tenors.  I can't tell you how hard it is to sing when you can't here what you're supposed to be singing.  It also didn't help that I couldn't hear myself, so I didn't know if I was off.  According to the others around me though I wasn't, so I'm very pleased about that!  It's so exciting being up there...it was great at rehearsals being on the stage, but when there's actually people in the audience applauding you, it's even better!  Both shows I did were full and they were so much fun (even though my legs really hurt from standing in one place for so long...I have to keep remembering to bend my legs so I don't faint!

After the show I met Randy at the bus stop (he had looked after my stuff) and we caught the bus home.  So right now I'm going to do a little bit of tidying and I must remember to pick up my package tomorrow.  Write in my guestbook people!  It's still there!  Night xxx

23.11.2006: Happy Thanksgiving!

Ah yes so it's Thanksgiving day today.  So that means it's my first time celebrating it.  I woke up at about 10am and set about making my cakes to take to Aja and Tristan's later on.  They were only mixes but the sponge turned out very nice (I put raspberry jam in it and covered it in chocolate frosting....yum) and the brownies turned out nice.  So Aja picked Randy, Kaori, Rachel and I up, we made a stop to walmart and then headed back to her apartment behind MK.  We spent the afternoon preparing turkey and laying out snacks and stuff, before playing karaoke revolution and watching Labyrinth.  Rachel had to go to work so she couldn't stay, but Paul popped in with his son, and Chris came round to eat and all in all it was a cosy day, not to mention that I'm stuffed.  Tristan got home form work at about 7 so we got to play a little with her son William, who isn't quite two but can be a monkey at times, but at others is really cute.  At about 9 Kaori and I left to catch the bus home, so now I'm just lounging around.  I just finished my book which is really annoying because I don't have another one, so I might tidy my room up a bit and upload some more pictures.  Night xx

22.11.2006: Argh Not Again

So once again I typed a lot but lost it all, so here's the shortened version:

  • went to get MVMCP ticket at MK
  • had buffet breakfast at Trail's End, Fort Wilderness, with Vanessa and Randy...very cheap for Disney
  • headed to Epcot and went to Guest Relations...Jen gave me an Honourary Citizen button, and Randy a happy birthday one (I had no idea it was his birthday, he kept it very quiet!)
  • went to Innoventions and played ToonTag, Opportunity City and Where's the Fire?  We won (again!)
  • rode Imagination and then went to watch the Voices of Liberty perform in the American Adventure (they were awesome!)
  • walked around the rest of World Showcase and then caught the monorail to MK
  • we watched the end of Dream Along With Mickey and then went to watch Storytime with Belle (which was really cute!)
  • came home (nearly falling asleep)
  • going out for Thanksgiving dinner at the Commons (mmmm food and its free!)
  • night xxx

So yeah Ona and I went to the Commons.  Luckily I was the 4th person in the queue and when Ona arrived she joined me.  The food was really nice! and we got out picture taken with Mickey and Minnie in colonial costume.  When we left at about 9.45pm the queue outside was a mile long!  I don't think they realised so many people would turn up.  I'm so glad we were at the front!  So we went back to Ona's and watched the end of Rent and Mean Girls (Ona's roomate cooked Thanksgiving dinner and had a lot of people from Frontierland round, so it was fun!  Colin came too (he had been queueing at the Commons) because he nearly waited about 90 minutes in line and then they had all been told to go to the back).  So right now I'm going to watch Calendar Girls and then go to bed...another Thanksgiving tomorrow...woo!

10.11.2006: Conference Day!

Boo so we had to get up early to go to this conference.  We both got dressed in our business casual attire and I remembered to take my nametag with me!  So when we were ready I went and got a donut from front desk (mmmmmm) and then we stood outside waiting for the others.  We met Maru and Mario (who are very very nice!) and then we walked to the Metro station.  The Metro is kinda like the underground, and very easy to navigate, so we got there in no time.  The conference was in a big hotel (can't remember the name) which was very posh and very nice.  So we headed upstairs and made our way through the crowd (there must have been hundreds of people there) and helped ourselves to beverages.  We then headed to the room where we were going to give the conference.  We helped put out leaflets and mini CD's on the chairs and then waited for everybody to come in.  Once everyone was in, Lydia gave an introduction and then Bud and Dean spoke, before finally it got to us to speak about our experiences.  It wasn't scary at all, I guess I've had so much experience talking to guests about it.  It was a lot of fun actually.  So after the conference (it lasted about an hour) we collected everything up (and kept some of the CD's Lydia had brought to give to people at home) and set out to have lunch.  We went to a Malaysian restaurant called Penang.  It was very very good.  I had the curry chicked lunch special, which included spring rolls, rice, soup and salad.  It was so good, and the first proper curry I've had since I've been here.  After this we got the metro back to the hotel and all got changed.  Ona and I nearly fell asleep waiting for the others before Lydia phoned us to say that they had to do some work so Maru, Mario, Ona and I went back to the metro station.  We headed back to the White House to take some more pictures from both sides, but they were closing the path to the side you usually see on TV for the day, so we couldn't go there.  Oh well. We'll go tomorrow I guess.  So we then decided to head over the the National Museum of American History because they have a Disneyland Exhibition there.  The only problem is that it was closed for refurbishment.  Boo.  So instead we headed down to the National Museum of Natural History.  It's a very nice place, and we went to see an IMAX movie about going on safari in 3D.  That was a lot of fun.  After we had seen the museum we had a phonecall from Lydia who said they were going to bed, so we were to go out to dinner on our own.  So we spent ages trying to find a place called Capitol City Brewing Company (which we found out was actually labled on the map...how dumb are we).  It's a restaurant like TGI's, crossed with the Hard Rock Cafe.  Anyway the food was good, even though I had to send mine back the first time because it was cold!  I guess they had waited for everyone else's to be done before giving me mine.  Duh.  Anyway I had a Filibuster Burger with cheese and mushrooms and onions.  Very good. Mmmm.  So afterwards we got the metro back to the hotel and are now going to bed.  We've made plans for tomorrow just in case Lydia and Bud don't make it lol, but who knows!  Night xxx

9.11.2006: Washington DC!

Yeah this morning I woke up just before 3am (thank goodness, I was so afraid I'd miss my alarm) so Mum didn't need to call me to make sure I was up.  It didn't take me long to get ready as I had washed and straightened my hair the night before.  So I got all my stuff together and headed up to the Club House to catch the shuttle.  Apparently the shuttle would have never made it on time but they sent me a taxi and I paid the same price.  I was a little worried because I thought they were conning me, but it all turned out fine.  So I arrived at the airport really early and waited for Ona to arrive.  Check in was simple, we were pretty much the only people there!  We met one other girl who was living at Chatham who was going to a Wedding and would also be flying to Atlanta, so we all got seats together (it's so cool, you can change seats yourself!  I didn't know that!)  So we headed though security and went to get breakfast.  I got a donut from Krispy Creme, and a couple of hashbrowns from McDonald's (can't go on a flight without hashbrowns!)  So then we headed to the departure gate to wait to fly.  As usual our gate was the furthest away, but I'm used to it!  It was quick to board the plane (and it was really empty), but it was so small compared to what I'm used to.  Anyway I had an aisle seat, and Ona sat in the middle.  She was a tad nervous at take off and landing, but I really wouldn't know about the actual journey because I fell asleep.  They had awesome biscotti biscuits as a snack (the others didn't want their's so I got nine!)

We then arrived at Atlanta and went our seperate ways.  The flight to Washington DC was the same as the first, although slightly longer.  I fell asleep again.  Upon arrivel we went to collect our luggage (internal flights are weird...the baggage claim and check in are in the same building opposite from each other!)  It didn't take long for our luggage to arrive, so we sat down to wait for Dean with our Mickey ears on.  It wasn't very hard to miss us so Dean found us easily.  Dean had hired a rental car, so we went to collect that and then headed towards the hotel.  We got lost (that's America's fault for not having roundabouts!) because we couldn't find the right turn off; the signs aren't very good and the woman at the car place told us the wrong way.  When we got to the hotel we realised we were really only about 20 minutes away!  The hotel was a Travel Lodge (not bad) and Ona's and my room was right next to reception.  It was so nice to have a double bed.  So us three drove down to the dock to find somewhere to eat, as we hadn't eaten since 4.30am and we were starving.  We went to this very nice pizza place and mmmm the food was good.  We then wandered around for a while and took a lot of pictures, one including a fence that had a sign saying 'Long Fence' on it (we found out later that it was the name of a fence company).  We also visited a Scottish shop (for Ona ) and then headed back to the hotel.  Here Ona and I watched some TV and eventually fell to sleep for about an hour.  When we woke up Bud and Lydia had arrived, and it was dark outside.  We all walked to where we had eated earlier in the day, but this time went to a fish restaurant.  I had a tuna sandwich with proper chips!  It was so good, I could do with one now!  We then all got into Lydia's car and drove into town.  We went to look at the Washington Monument and some other historical sights (I can't remember them now right now, I'll put them in later) and went to see the White House at night.  All in all it was a very pretty but chilly night.  So then it was time to return to the hotel and go to bed.  Maru and Mario aren't arriving until later tonight, so we'll meet them in the morning.  Night night xx

8.11.2006: Finding Nemo: The Musical!

This morning I went to class (because I won't be able to go on Friday) all in my costume because Jeff Tasset said he may be able to get me a shift at work as I'll be missing two over the weekend.  So class was good, and interesting as usual.  So after class I called Jeff who told me everything for tomorrow would be sorted, that I wasn't working today and to have a good time!  So I headed back to my apartment, got changed and ran to catch the J bus over to AK.  I went up to the tip board and asked them when the next showing of Finding Nemo: The musical would be on. The next one was at 3pm, so I had about an hour and a half to wait.  I went to the bakery place in Africa to get something to eat, and then went to stand in line.  The guy at the tip board had told me to get there at least 45 minutes before, but when I got there people were already waiting.  They hadn't opened the queue yet, so when it did open I was one of the first people in line.  They only trouble is, they had opened the wrong queue so we were standing in the wheelchair line.  So we all backed up and got in the right line.  I wasn't at the front, but at least I wasn't at the back!

The theatre is so cool.  The Tarzan Rocks theatre used to be open at the sides, but they've covered it all now.  The show was amazing.  I mean I've never seen a show like this at Disney.  I know everyone is sad because Tarzan Rocks went, but to be honest I don't really remember it, and besides, all females liked about it was seeing Tarzan.  I'm more into the musicals than that.  The puppetry was outstanding...I don't know how they thought up these ideas but well done to them!  Plus the soundtrack...I need it!  They had a few problems (the director did come on stage at the beginning and tell us it was a dress rehearsal so they may need to stop and start occasionally) and they had to restart at the beginning because the light's weren't working.  Also, later in the show, they had to stop because Squirt got stuck in the air.  Poor thing.  It was funny though and woman playing squirt was so cute!  So after the show I headed back to Vista to do not much else.  At about 8 I went over to Devin's and we watched Centre Stage, played cards and ate pizza.  At about 10 I came back here and now I'm going to bed...I have to be up at 3am!  Night xx

2.11.2006: Typhoon Lagoon!

Wooooooo today Ona, Jorden and I went to Typhoon Lagoon!  It was so much fun.  We got in on Jorden's Family Holiday Celebration ticket (ta ) and grabbed a locker, before heading to the lazy river to get used to the water.  We had lunch first (and this time they didn't run away from me haha).  It was a tad chilly that day but it wasn't all busy and the water was very warm.  So we spent ages going round the lazy river (trying to get each other under the waterfalls and fountains, but it wasn't all that cold so it didn't matter) before we got off and went to the Crush 'n' Gusher.  We got a three person tube and did both the slides...soooooooooooooo much fun, with both Ona and I screaming  very loudly.  Then we went to do the family raft.  Not as fun as the one at BB but still.  We also went to the tube rides (so funny), and then went to do snorkelling with the sharks.  The water was so cold, but it was great fun and we had our picture taken with snorkels on at the end.

After Typhoon Lagoon we caught the next bus back and had about an hour to get ready to go to DisneyQuest.  Once again we got in on Jorden's ticket  and headed straight to do everything!  Jorden and I made one awesome rollercoaster and we did pirates (finally made it to Kings of the Caribbean, we didn't have a driver, the CM put it on autopilot which is a lot better and much more fun!).  We also had dinner at the Cheesecake factory (has this really nice chicken and mushroom panini, and then tiramasu later).  Then it was on to PI!  Yes my first ever time to a PI club since I've been here!  Granted it was the Adventurer's Club, which is so so so funny. And who should walk in as I was taking everything in...only almosy the entire population of the jungle.  It's a frequent haunt of their's because the jokes are just so jungle like.  They thought I was 21 for some reason, which isn't much use anyway because I don't drink anymore!  So we went into the Library for Hoopla (once again, so funny) and then raced back so we would get the bus in time.  One bus there was only going to Chatham and the Commons (stupid if you ask me) so we all waited for the bus that would take us to all three (the bus driver said if I went to Chatham I wouldn't be able to get a bus back, liar, I've done it before at 1am) .  So right now I'm going to bed because I have to go to work tomorrow...luckily no class! Woo.  Night xx

1.11.2006: November's here!

Yes, you can definitely tell November is here, it's so cold at night!  Anyway, didn't do much today except lounge around.  I've just got back from rehearsals (only one more to go!) and as usual it was very fun and I love singing hehe.  So now I'm going to have dinner and watch a film.  Night xxx

26.10.2006: Blizzard Beach

Sooooo today Ona, Jorden and I headed to Blizzard Beach.  It was quite warm compared to the past couple of days.  So we practically did every slide (including the family one which was hilarious).  We had lunch (which including me wandering around for ages trying to find where they had sat!) and many trips around the creek!  I love that!  So after blizzard I had to go to rehearsals, so I caught the bus to Port Orleans (having said goodbye to the others).  It was a fun rehearsal.  I got talking to another CP, Jennifer, who works at most attractions in Epcot, and is friends with Snow White, and we decided one day we should get together with other candlelight CP's and rehearse!  That wouold be great!  So here I am, not doing much.  Time to watch a DVD.  Night xx

25.10.2006: Bennigans!

So this morning I got up late.  And didn't do much at all!  I then waited for Devin to get out of class, and we headed over to MK to get some autographs.  We didn't get that many actually, but we did get Pinocciho and Gepetto.  We then headed over to the jungle to ride David's boat (so funny lol), then we rode pirates, space mountain, the Astro Orbitor (never again!  We were squished in like sardines, and it made me soooo dizzy)  Bleugh.  We then came home so we could get ready for going to Bennigans with the rest of the skips!  There was at least 20 of us there, and I never spent so much there before!  It was great though.  We then headed back (so I could sign Kaori in to get the bus) and right now I'm contemplating watching TV or reading or going to bed.  Anyway..toodles....xxxx

19.10.2006: Halloween Horror Nights!

Ah today Ona and I went to AK again.  Once again I ate at Flame Tree (got to love that place...especially with discount!).  We then went to do Dinosaur (lots of screaming involved and an awesome picture!) and then over to Festival of the Lion King (having tried a frozen banana).  This time it didn't get cancelled and I got pulled up from the audience to demonstrate an elephant sound.  Despite working with elephants every day every 10 minutes, I have no idea how to make the noise.  According to Ona, it was very very funny.  We then headed back home so we could get the I-Ride to Universal!  Jei came with us too, but it didn't take us all the way, so we got a cab the rest of the way.  Definitely a cheap way to travel!

Halloween Horror Nights was soooooooo much fun!  There were loads of things jumping out and running after you.  We rode Shrek 4D first and then headed to the first house: PsychoPath.  This was a house about Norman Bates (no idea...maybe I should do research).  Lots of things jumping out.  Jei was in tears by the end and refused to go into another house!  I wasn't all that scared, it was a bit creepy though!  We then headed into 'People Under the Stairs'  The line for this house was soooooooooo long that I think the 60 minute wait time was accurate.  We bumped into some other CP's from the UK (Ona knew a couple of them) so everytime we met in the line we had a chat, and called out 'Jungle Cruise!' and 'Space!'.  This house was weird...in the queue lines they show you movie clips of the movie it's based on (I really want to watch it...seems weird) and the house was done up like they were doing DIY...lots of people jumping out and the main character was in there...in leather  kind of weird really.

After that house we got a message from Nitsa that she and her roomate were at the front gate, so we headed over there, met up with her and then went to get something to eat.  I had pizza, and Jei's leftover fries lol.  We then went and did the Jimmy Neutron ride, and then proceeded to do 3 more scare houses.  The first one was 'Psychoscareapy' and this one was an insane asylum.  The effects were really good, and the employees did a great job in acting nutty.  Like the nurse at the front desk twisting the head off a cabbage patch doll.  The only really horrible bit was when you walked through the bathroom and things sprayed at you.  What with that and the really strong disgusting smell...you can imagine what we thought was being sprayed on us.  We moved pretty quickly after that.  In fact it was just water.  Eugh.  We then queued for the 'All Nite Die-In'.  This was a weird one.  We somehow managed to end up behind all the show scenes (not just us though, another party did it).  I don't know how we managed it, but there was no one around guiding us.  I think the people working there were a little puzzled as to why we entered back througha  door we shouldn't have LOL.  The last house we did (by running to it because we had 6 minutes before it closed) was 'ScreamHouse'.  This one had the caretaker in it (Chris at the Jungle plays one of the caretakers...didn't see him though).  The Caretaker is pretty scary, and seeing all the coffins with kids in them and stuff....argh it was fun but kinda creepy.

Well once we had come out of that one it was time to go home.  I bought a 'Horror Comes Home' t-shirt (it has all the scare houses on the back) and then we hopped into a minibus taxi thingy with the other UK group.  This was one weird taxi ride.  You could sing karoake in it   it had tv screens and everything.  Anyway I was the only one going to Vista, but they wanted to stop at Wendy's, so I got out there.  Now I have to be up for class tomorrow so I'm off to bed...night xx

18.10.2006: Random Day

Indeed it was.  First I got up, headed over to Magic Kingdom costuming to take my MNSSHP costume back.  I thought I could get into costuming and back in time so I wouldn't have to wait for the next bus...but it left early.  Grrrrrrrrrrrr.  So I went over to PC and spent a total of $4, and then caught the bus back.

I then waited until Devin had finished her class, and headed over to hers to wait for Randy.  We then headed off Animal Kingdom (with the aim of going to all 4 parks),  First it was off to the Festival of the Lion King.  I love that show.  Unfortunately it was cancelled 10 minutes in, due to technical difficulties I guess...they were fiddling around with oneof the floats during it.  So we went to get food at the Flame Tree Barbeque and then headed to Everest.  The wait minute was only 10 minutes!  So we rode twice because the first picture wasn't any good.

Then the park was open for resort guests only, so we headed over to Epcot.  We drunk ourselves silly at Club Cool (which has brought Beverly back...that's the watermelon one) and then over to Maelstrom (it's on Devin's list of things to do).  I then had to leave for rehearsals.  Rehearsals were fun.  There was a lot more people than usual, and we had a guest conductor.  I then caught the bus back (which was late grrrrrrrrrrr) and then Devin, Rachel and Randy came over.  We sang a lot to Spice Girls, and decided we were going to have a Spice Girls party one week.  Fun!  Right now it's time for bed.  Night xx

12.10.2006: Disaster!

Thats what this morning was...a disaster.  So there I was, all excited about going on a Mansion tour, and what did I do?  Slept through my alarm.  Woke up at 7.30 and wondered why it was light outside.  Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr  I was so annoyed with myself.  Me, who never sleeps through my alarm...and the one day I don't want to, it happens.  Oh well, couldn't go back to sleep then, so I got up, did some updating, then went to the Learning Center to do some class work.  Did most of two assignments so I'm very pleased with that.  They also have about 100 new dvd's at the Learning Center (although you can only take out two at a time) so I got out the new Little Mermaid dvd (and watched it) and The Emporer's New Groove (watched part of it).  Alaina and  Mai got two each as well, so we have quite a collection.

So then I started getting ready for my second trip to MNSSHP.  I caught the bus again and got to MK at about 5.45pm.  I went over to Jungle, rode Pirates and Mansion, before standing in line to get my picture in front of Cinderella's Carriage (they started taking pictures before 7pm...yay!)

I'm sorry but I love this picture...it's a little out of proportion, but the actual copy will be on photobucket in no time!  So then I went to get my spot for the parade.  On the way I went to Minnie's House to have my picture with her.  Awwww I heart Minnie.  So I went to Liberty Square (or course) and got lots of candy before parade.  Jack managed to get me into VIP seating .  I don't know how the video turned out but I don't care...the music is there and you can see most of it I think.  When Maleficent came along she gave me evil looks (you can't see it on the video...I wasn't aiming properly; too preoccupied with glaring back at her!).  Woo!  I then taped the Villians Mix and Mingle (castle show), but they didn't come down to mingle as it was almost time for HalloWishes!  I got a good spot for that too, so all is now on video!  So the next Mix and Mingle (before the parade) was cancelled, but the characters still came down to have pictures.  I found out that if I wore heels I'd be the same height as the Wicked Queen...yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

Love her.  Simply love her.  I also got a picture with Maleficent!  How strange was that...great picture though.  I then headed over to Mickeys House and got his picture, then went to get my picture with the Princesses (by this time it was nearly 12 and hardly a line...I waited 20 minutes at most).  Cinderella and Prince Charming were there, as was Princess Aurora and Prince Phillip.  Awesome pictures hehe.  Cinderella kinda spoiled the magic a bit by saying she had seen me on the bus and had hoped I would visit them (LOL) but I was so pleased to get all their autographs.

So I got some more candy and a couple more pictures (I'm going to take advantage of the 50% off the Halloween photopasses because I really want a good picture of the carriage!) and headed back home.  Had great fun on the bus with all the skips who had just finished treats...it's very very late now...I have to be up at 5am to see if I can go on the Mansion Tour!  I really hope so.  That only leaves me with 3 hours sleep though.  It's going to be a very long day...ah well.  It'll be worth it if I can go...night night xxx

11.10.2006: The Seas with Nemo and Friends

Today was my first of two days off (so looking forward to tomorrow!).  I didn't get up all that early (having worked MNSSHP last night) but my body usually decides that 7 hours sleep is good enough for a day off....grrrrrrrr.  So I got up, lounged around a bit and then went over to Property Control to get more costumes, and buy an autograph book because I didn't want to pay full price LOL.  I got a couple of other things, and managed to restrain myself from going into Cast Connection (well done me!).  I then went into the tunnels (unable to restrain myself from buying some cookies) and headed out the front to the bus to Wilderness Lodge.  There wasn't one, so I went to Coronado Springs instead.  It looks very nice from the outside, so Mum I think you will enjoy it.  So anyway I took the bus over to Downtown Disney and went to book Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique....only to find out that you have to phone them up...which I had tried but the number didn't work....maybe that's because the number was wrong  Grrrrr how annoying, I spent all that time getting there to find out I had to phone them up!

Oh well.

So I came home and booked my appointment  (10am December 4th) and then Jorden, Ona, and Paul came to pick my up (in Jorden and Paul's rented car...they went to watch wrestling the past couple of days....hmmmmm) so we could go see the Cast Preview of The Seas with Nemo and Friends.  It's such an awesome ride!  I really wish I'd had my camera with me (it was charging at home) but I'm not going to spoil it (that would be mean).  I just liked the fact that all the guests could see the ride  but couldn't ride it!  Makes me feel special for once!

So then they dropped me off at Event Productions for rehearsals.  Once again it was only half full, but we did well (especially with the songs I don't know).  That's my 6th rehearsal now...just 4 more to go!

So I should go to bed...have to be up at 5am tomorrow for this Mansion tour...I can't wait I'm so excited!  Night xx

5.10.2006: Busy day off!

Yup, today was busy.  I didn't get up that early, but when I did I headed off to Epcot to go do Innoventions as part of my class assignment.  It didn't take long as I had done most of it before, so I went and had a look at the pins.  And bought some.  Oopsie!   They were very good ones though...I bought a LE SpectroMagic 15th Anniversary one, a LE Jungle Cruise/Magic Kingdom 35th Anniversay one, and a regular Jungle Cruise one.  Woo!

So then I headed over to Disney MGM Studios to do the backlot tour.  I didn't really need to but I did get some good pictures.  After that I came home again.  I was going to go to Walmart,  but the bus took so long getting back that I didn't make the Walmart bus.  Oh well.  So I decided to go after rehearsals.  Rehearsal was good...there was only half the room there, but we sounded good (I think, can't really tell when I'm concentrating on singing my part).

So I caught the bus home, dashed to get me shopping bag (has wheels on the bottom so I don't have to carry heavy stuff), but the bus driver told me that Walmart was closed so he wasn't going to go there.  Grrrrrrrrrrrr I need food!

2.10.2006: Looks like I'll have to go again...

Well it's been an eventful day!  This morning I woke up at 7am so I could head out to AK for opening.  I think it was EMH this morning so the line foe Everest was 20 minutes long by the time I reached it, but no big deal!  That's good for Everest!  The guy behind me in line was complaining (we didn't wait more than 15 minutes) because the line was 'so long'.  At least it wasn't 70!  Some guests   He also tried to get his daughter on who was way too short.  Hello!  CM's may be stupid but we're not that stupid!  So I took a video on Everest (this is all in aid for my class...ok so I didn't need the video but I thought it would be fun...), you don't get to see the Yeti...it was very fast and I was trying not to fall out.  So I headed to the bus stop to get the bus to the TTC.  I then took the monorail over to MK so I could see the new castle show...Dream Along With Mickey.  I went and got some popcorn from Sleepy Hollow and sat down to wait for it!  Now the new show is amazing!  So much better than Cinderellabration!  They have villians and cool dancing and a really catchy song...I just love all of it!  Got some good pictures too.

So yeah, I was supposed to go to Epcot and MGM to ride two other attractions (well I guess you can't ride Innoventions ) but it was two hot so I'll do those Thursday.

So then I headed back home to lounge around and get ready for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!  Yup, I got all decked out in my Princess Aurora costume and took the bus to the TTC.  Ashley and I hung around while I waited for Sara, Heather and Dez to turn up.  We went and rode the Jungle Cruise (20 minute wait, but I got straight on!) and then took some pictures on Main Street, before Ashley left to see her boyfriend at the Mansion.  I then met Heather, Sara and Dez.  Heather came as a hippie and Sara came as a farmer.  So awesome!  We got so much candy tonight it was unbelievable..obviously I knew some people doing the treat trails so they hooked us up...love it!

So we saw the first parade...tried to video that but too many people were in the way.  Plus I dropped my video camera  But it still filmed, so I filmed the Villians Mix and Mingle dance party, the parade, and the fireworks.

So we left at about 12...I was disappointed that I didn't get the Wicked Queens autograph...but oh well,...I'm going to have to go again anyway.  You see when I got home I went to watch the video I took, and found out it was all blotchy and in the end wouldn't show.  Now then I thought argh!  I broke the camera, but I checked another tape I had filmed on, and it played back fine, and filmed fine...so it was the tape!  Nooooooooooooooooo.  I mean I don't mind going again but it means paying out another $30.  Oh well I'll do it.  This time I can go on my own and do everything I want to do...like Mansion!  Think I might go as a witch this time though!  Or should I go again as Princess Aurora?  Think I might do that....get some use out of my dress!

Ah well bed time...I'm really devastated about my video  I wanted to watch it.  Oh well.  Night!

25.9.2006: Hmph

So much for a lie in.  I was woken up at 9am but none other than the TaskMaster himself...yes you guessed....Kevina.  He phoned me (by mistake I found out later!) and I couldn't get back to sleep again.  Meh.  So I got up and went over to Company D to buy my Halloween ticket for October 2nd.  I don't work that night anyway, and Yabom swapped her shift with me so I have that Monday off anyway!  Woo.

So I came back (having popped into PC...baaaaaaaad idea) and spent the day doing nothing until it was time for rehearsals.  Today we were doing songs I don't know, so it was a little more challenging (especially as one of the songs wasn't on the CD so I had no idea how it went) but we got through.  I can't wait to start performing.  I wanted to be the tree topper (stands at the top and wears a star on their head) but you have to be in the choir for 5 years, and be over 6 feet!  Oh well.

Anyway I might go to bed now.  Night!

21.9.2006: Laaaaaaaaazy day again.

Yes, once again I spent this day not doing much at all.  Well actually I did walk to the post office to send some stuff to people.  I then phoned American Coach to have them come pick me up because I couldn't be bothered to walk back and it was hot!  So I spent all day lounging around doing nothing.  I went to the library and got out some books, and Mary Poppins on DVD, so Alaina and I spent the afternoon watching that and Dirty Dancing.  Later, when the others had gone out, I tried on my Halloween costume.  I'm going as Princess Aurora and if I do say so myself...I look pretty good LOL.  So yeah.

Now I'm off to bed.  Wanted to practice for Candlelight but I left my music in my locker at work.  Oh well.  Night xx

20.9.2006: MK Sound Off!

Today has been the weirdest day.  First, in the morning I did nothing except some washing, went to Front Desk to get the hoover and the squeegie and bucket, and spent a couple of hours cleaning.  Oh and the maintanence man finally came around to unblock our toilet....yay!

So at 6 I caught the bus to Candlelight rehearsals.  I was there an hour early, but I got to hear the earlier rehearsal singing, and they sound awesome!  In fact we all sound pretty good....it was nice to hear it all though, without me being one of the ones singing!  There were a couple of people there from Ad/Lib as well: Jeff from Jungle, and James from HOP.  I also found out that I'm very lucky to be in it!  The Alto section filled up within 1 minute and 13 seconds of the registration opening up!  So many of us competing to spots!  Also at the end of the whole thing, I'll get a letter from Brad Rex (VP of Epcot...I think...Kev will correct me if I'm wrong) thanking me for my services....woo!

So yeah rehearsal was awesome!  Then on the way back from the bus stop, I met Yabom, who dragged me along to this MK Sound Off.  Now it was very much like the MK Blast Off we all went to when we got here in February, except this time it was in Frontierland.  We went on Splash and Thunder, danced like crazy, and picked up lots of free stuff...including food! Disney Difference pins (I've got about 20 of them...somehow I think they were trying to get rid of them!) and 'The Happiest Celebration of Earth: The Magic Begins with Me' cast member books they were giving out for this years celebration.  I'm so happy because I've been wanting one for ages and ages and ages.  We also had pictures with Mickey and Minnie and had so much fun!  I'm so glad I went!

Anyway, another day off tomorrow so I'm going to go to bed.  Going to the post office tomorrow to send some stuff off!  Night xx

14.9.2006: Wooo

I did nothing all day!  I mean NOTHING!  Oh except for some washing and cleaning the kitchen (which will be as bad as it was before I started tomorrow).  So yeah I've just been doing cross stitch, watching TV and doing not much....all in my PJ's of course!  It's been great.  Anyway I must be away to bed...I don't start work until 6.15pm which is awesome!  Go me!

13.9.2006: Boo to You!

Aaaaaaah today was so much fun!  First, I didn't have to get up particularly early, but the Walmart only runs early on a Wednesday so I had go leave at 12.  I only went to get a few bits and bobs, some food, ribbon, some glitter and other stuff.

I then got back and planned how I was going to get to my first Candlelight Processional Rehearsal!  I got the D bus that would drop me off at Disney Event Productions by request.  It's only a little minibus but there was only like 6 of us on it.  Anyway, another guy got on with the same sheet music packet as me so I reckoned he was going to the same place.  When we arrived (I found out his name is Eric, he works at Splash Mountain, and lives with Josh at the Jungle!  It's a small world!) we got in the queue (they weren't letting people into the rehearsal room yet).  I stood crossing my fingers as I was going in as standby because I hadn't signed up for this rehearsal...but seeing as I was near the front of the queue, I got straight in!

It was really weird singing as a group!  There was only a few of us who had never done Candlelight before so all these other people were old hands.  The songs we did were fairly easy I though...I mean I'll have to listen to my CD loads to make sure I sing the right notes; seeing as I've never sung in a group with harmony and everything I think I did rather well!  It went really quickly too...seeing as it was a 90 minute rehearsal!

That then gave me plenty of time to get home and get the A bus to the Magic Kingdom.  Yup, all the Jungle Skippers were going as a group to see the cast preview of Mickey's Boo to You Halloween Parade.  All the cast members had to group in the Tomorrowland Terrace, and you should have heard the noise us AD/Libbers made.  We started chanting 'Jungle Cruise' over and over again, and the started clapping.  I have a very good picture of all of us...but then my camera died on me so I couldn't take pictures of the parade...oh well plenty of other people did!

So there we were taking up nearly one whole side of Main Street (we're so greedy, instead of clumping together in one group, we all wanted a seat so spread out along the pavement) and they were doing pactivities (this guy Chase, is like the ultimate PACman....he even got everyone shouting 'Jungle' on one side, and 'Cruise' on the other....hehe so much fun.

Then came the Headless Horseman.  It was so amazing...hearing the hooves coming down Main Street and he looked so creepy!  And then came the parade.  I have to admit that I like this parade better than Spectro!  There is so much thought put into it.  Jack's girlfriend was doing her first night as Snow White, so we all cheered for her.  She really does look like Snow White!  Plus, this was the first time we saw the 17 year old (who looks 12) as Christopher Robin.  He usually plays Peter Pan sometimes, but he looked so good!  Then came the Mansion Float.  OMG the ballroomo dancers are scary...especially when the women shriek when the men dip them.  And the butlers behind?  They have shovels that they scrape along the group to produce sparks....it's so so so so so scary.  The Pirates float had Jack Sparrow on it...wow...the things they can do now!  The Villians had their own funky little dance...they use the same float they use in the day parade, but this time Maleficent is on it.  There really is a lot of effort put into it.  At the end is Goofy's candy float...and they hand candy out!  I got like 6 pieces...it was great!

Then there's the music..I've never heard it before, and I know they haven't released it on CD (they so should) but it's really really catchy and I need a copy!

So I've just got back from IHOP.  Almost one side was filled with AD/Libbers, but our table got served first!  Ah well...it's 3am now so I'm off to bed...night xx

7.9.2006: Lazy Day and PC

Well as the title quite plainly said, I had a very lazy day.  I got up at about 11am and hung around for about an hour.  I then decided to go to Property Control for a pick me up and to spend my wages (as today was pay day!)  So yeah I felt really down today and kinda feel like the whole world is against me.  On the bright side I'm second on the waiting list to have the 31st October off.  I hope I get it off because Ona and I are going to the Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights.

Property Control was fun!  I definitely went on the right day and got so much stuff, including the Cinderella dress bag, another princess bag, a couple of t-shirts and a Magic Kingdom towel, amongst other things.  Now I'm not going to buy anything for myself for a couple of months so I can wait for my big discount later in the year.

So I came home and moped around for a while, chatting to a few people on MSN, and contemplating life and situations that have happened recently, and yes I'm rambling but I'm so confused and frustrated at the moment that I can't really think properly.  I reckon I need a decent nights sleep and one of those Men In Black zappy things that erase your memory.  Argh.  Damn life.

So I've just finished watching Narnia, and in a mo Rach is going to call me back on Skype so we can have a good chat.  I do miss her a lot, especially our girly nights and gossips about guys and how horrible they can be.

Ah well I'm going to do some more sewing and hope things pick up soon as I plunge myself back into work and learning the songs for the Candlelight Processional.  I listened to the whole CD and it shouldn't be too hard.  It's definitely in my vocal range and I just hope I can attend all the rehearsals.

Grrrrrrr this summer was bad bad bad.  Someone erase my memory, or at least get people to hold a proper conversation with me!  I need more friends!

6.9.2006: Epcot, Kim Possible and WDI!

Wooooooo today has to have been the most amazing day I've ever spent at Epcot.  It was such a Disney Dork Day (well both Ona and I were there, so of course it was).  In fact it was only us two.  So we began our day by me meeting Ona as she was coming off the A bus (the C bus had left early from Chatham so she hoped to make it to Vista before it did) and we ran from the A bus to the C bus!  Woo go us.  So before we headed onstage we went to the Entertainment building to pick up my music for the Candlelight Processional.  There's such a lot of music (plus a CD, which sadly I have to give back at the end) but I'm so excited about it all!  We then headed into the International Program Trailer to pick up some free popcorn (don't really like it but it was free, and to be honest I'm becoming acquired to the taste).  So then it was off to venture in the park.  We decided to do the Kim Possible Secret Agent game.  We had no idea where to go, but Andy had said either the front of the park or at Canada.  So being near to the Imagination Pavilion, we popped in to see Figment.  By the time we had done that World Showcase was open, so we headed to Canada, as it was quicker than walking to the front of the park.  However, once we got to Canada, the guy there said we had to go sign up at the Main Entrance.  So we went backstage and took the cast bus to the front of the park.  Here we signed up for the 2.45pm slot and proceeded to do all the Future World attractions.  We went on Spaceship Earth (I was trying to get Hidden Mickey's but I don't think any of them came out well) and then headed to Innoventions.  Ona wanted to make a plastic robot so we did that and yes, I got another robot...a multicoloured one this time.  We also did the Kim Possible Kidcot station there.  Twas cool.  We also wanted to make paper, but the CM was very rude when we asked him saying 'It's for little kids to make paper' and then he turned around.  We wanted to get his name but we couldn't see his nametag because we were too far away.

Anyway so after Innoventions we headed over to the Land, and did the Kidcot there, and then to the Living Seas, did the Kidcot there and then we were going to get in line for Turtle Talk with Crush, but didn't have enough time, so we headed back over to Canada.  When we got there we were shown into a room where the quest began!  I filled out a form with my credit card details ($299 if we broke the thing!) and then we were asked by two people from WDI with a big camera, if we would mind being filmed.  I think it was the Mickey ears and Pal Mickey that did it (and Ona's pins!).  So of course we said yes.  So for the first half of the quest (in the UK) they followed us around as we made great fools of ourselves.  I was agent Dork Head.  It was supposed to be Dorkette but the guy heard me wrong.  Ona was Agent Dancing Girl...because the toy soldier said she was.  I think the toy soldier was the best bit!  He actually talked to us (a little hard to hear over the Beatles) and could see us and everything...magic!  So we ran around like agents cracking codes, getting tea, and solving clues.  They even sent us to the pub (not to drink) which isn't bad I don't think.  The next part of the quest was in France.  All in all it was awesome!  It took up nearly two hours and finished with a finale in the upstairs of the Imagination pavilion (where I have never been and we got a pretty cool picture!).  I'd highly recommend this to anyone!  It makes Epcot seem a lot more fun!

So after Kim Possible we headed over to Test Track to do that.  You can now have the ride photo put onto your photopass which is awesome!  We then did the Kidcot there (yay it was complete!) and then headed over to Mission Space.  Just as we were walking up, Jorden came out to take his next position, so we got a few pictures and bugged him for a bit (Ona even pin traded) before going in to do the green team.  Yes we are wimps but I would like to live thank you very much.  So we had a bit more picture taking when we came out, with Jorden...who texted us just as we got off!  Naughty!  We also met up with Paul at this point.  So from there we headed over to do Turtle Talk with Crush.  Neither of the others had seen it before and I'm pretty sure they liked it.  From there is was back over to Soaring (Ona and I did it earlier in the day, can't remember when though).  It only had a 10 minute wait and we didn't even wait that long!  Woo.

From there we decided to get food as we were hungry.  But not before picking up the masks and attrachments from the Canada and UK Kidcots...to save us from walking all the way back over the bridge.  We went to the Tangerine Cafe in Morroco for dinner.  I had meatballs and rice...very nice!  So we went and did the Kidcot there, then back to France to do that one, and then the Japan one, before deciding we wouldn't get them all done before Illuminations.  Oh we did the US one too.  So we finally finished up in Italy and got amazing views for Illuminations.  I also have some awesome pictures from that too.  You can see them as soon as I upload them!  After Illuminations we went backstage (doing Ona's dance to the parade music as we went, and also taking the funniest pictures I think I have so far!) and caught the bus home!  We actually got seats!

Anyway so now I'm going to carry on having a chat with Kev, who for once is online, having been avoiding me forever (hehe just kidding).  I'm off to Evil Property Control tomorrow so need my sleep!  Toodles!

31.8.2006: There's not even a title appropriate for this...

The worst day of my program so far (even worse than that day I was terribly ill in March, I think it was).  So this morning Kev and I were supposed to be going to Animal Kingdom, to begin our day of doing all four parks.

Now I should have expected it, but once again, you know who never showed up.  So I phone him and do the whole "What's your excuse this time?" and then hung up.  Today of all days.  So I get a text saying "Come to mine" and I so shouldn't have.  I was already about to go back to my apartment to properly cry (instead of pretending I wasn't so that the people all around me wouldn't realise there was something wrong), but being the stupid person I am, I ended up at his.  Not particularly happy I must say.  Once again, lots of tears, lots of hugging and the realisation that I had no days left on my Blue Pass anyway so we wouldn't have been able to go anyway (One of Kev's managers took his ID off him yesterday...a day too early....bastard, excuse my language.)  So once again, it was back to the old 'sleep' strategy.  Actually I slept (on and off) until about 2pm (bearing in mind I went to sleep at about 10am).  Jei came over at some point to say bye, but being asleep, I missed her.

So then Kev decided it was time to pack (leaving it a bit late dearie).  He only came with one suitcase.  Nuthead...I don't want to know how you're going to get everything home.

So yeah we sat around for ages...lots of crying on my part, lots of comforting on his.  Honestly, I need a stopper on my tears, apparently you can't stop them.  In the end Siobhan, Kev and I headed over to Epcot (using Siobhan's Blue Pass) to get our photopasses put on a CD (courtesy of someone Siobhan knew), for Kev to say a final farewell to Innoventions people, and for him to Leave a :Legacy.  It's a very cute picture (seeing as I'm in it)...I can't wait to see what it looks like.

So them we did Spaceship Earth, and then rushed to catch the bus to watch Fantasmic.  It was an awesome show, we got there late so had side view seats, but it was very interesting to see how they did things.  When the Wicked Queen turns into the witch, the person playing the Wicked Queen actually gets inside the cauldron...hehehehe.  Anyway a few more tears from me here, although I'm glad the others didn't notice.

We then raced as fast as we could (kinda hard when the entire population of Fantasmic is moving as slow as possible) to the bus to go see Wishes.  We went to the bakery to get food, and then ran to the best spot in the whole of MK to watch Wishes.  Very, very teary on my part here.  Not so much on Kev's...weirdo.  It's just very sad to think that this was the last time we will watch Wishes and sing afterwards (well until next summer anyway...if they let me back...to be honest, I don't think I want to go back if everyone else will be doing the year program).  So yeah then Kev decided it was shopping time (having sung Wishes, seen Andy and Nitza (looking very cosy I must say).  Friggin' Andy has CT status (basically seasonal) how the hell he got it I don't know, but it's so unfair).  Halfway through the Goodnight Kiss started, so he dumped his stuff and we ran outside to the almost empty Main Street to watch it.  Once again, tears.

So back to shopping.  I'm a very good PA methinks.  I helped out a lot.  Honestly, males were not made for shopping.  So yeah paying was fun.  Kev wanted to see how much it would be to ship the stuff...lets just say..er no...shove it in your suitcase.  Caused a lot of commotion at the register though.  We did however have a nice but rather funny chat with the CM helping us.  Unfortunately for Mr. Casey, no discount and they wouldn't except mine. Grrrrrrrrrrr.

Anyway once again we left as the Goodnight Kiss was playing, so watched the end of that...and then were about the last people left in the park.  So we left to get the monorail, me being very close to tears (surprise surprise) and Kev telling me to snap out of it because it's not like we won't see each other again.  It's just that 4 months is a friggin' long time for me.  That's over a third of my program.  Ah well I'll cope I guess.  We still have skype.

So we ended back up at his apartment.  Vanessa came over and we watched him struggle to pack (shove it all in and deal with it when you get home I say).  I once again fell asleep (despite having had like a million hours of sleep) as it was nearing 3am.  Then came the time to say goodbye.  Although I told myself I wouldn't cry, you can probably guess what happened.  We evenn got some tears from the man himself (which in truth made me feel even worse) which you know,  he cried saying goodbye to everyone else dammit.  Not that I wanted you to Kev, jeeze it was already hard on me lol.  But at least I know you might at least miss me a little now .  So after about an hour long hug (ok not quite that long) and one last picture of the three of us (us being Kev, Vanessa and yours truly) I grabbed all the bags (all the stuff Kev's given me..damn it was heavy) and started to trek back to my apartment feeling very content and somewhat happy and actually managing not to cry!

Anyway bedtime.  I think I'm too tired and too emotionally drained to even think about tomorrow (I work for 11 hours...and I'm glad, it will take my mind of all of this).  I'll miss you more than you'll know Kevin...roll on January!!!

30.8.2006: Just stuff

Today was kind of a random day.  Firstly, that damn storm Ernesto was on it's way so it has been raining all day.  Kev and I were supposed to go to Epcot this morning, but for some reason I can't remember, we never actually made it.  I think it was another one of those 'he didn't turn up for the bus' moments.  You'd think I'd be used to this by now, especially having only had 5 hours of sleep.  So yeah I was a tad annoyed to say the least.  Anyway ended up in Kev's apartment where we slept for 4 hours.  Nice I really needed it.  Then he trundled off for his last day of work...sob.

I on the other hand, went to Walmart.  Yes I needed to get some bits and bobs for Kev's leaving present (which he probably won't get until I get home (as in England) knowing how long I take about things and the lateness in which I started it.  Give me credit though, I did only think about it today).  And I got some more food and stuff.  It was nice to get away from everything on my own though.  So I lounged around for a bit, and then got all dressed up in my raingear to go to Epcot to annoy Kev one last time.  I'm going to miss doing that.  What with it chucking it down, there was hardly anybody at Illuminations...it would have been perfect to video but not in the rain.

Then Kev, Vanessa, Ivan and other Innoventions peeps, as well as me, set off to go to Raglan Road.  Now to tell the truth, the way Innoventions people act towards each other scares me a little.  They were saying things with certain attitudes that it was so hard to tell if they meant it or not.  Ah well.  I did feel a little out of place, and probably should have left them to it, except I was being a camera woman.  Oh the fun.

So anyway, we couldn't eat at RR because they stopped serving food, so we went to Ale House instead.  Love that place.  I had loaded fries (the leftovers of which are now in the fridge).  Anyway so after that it was time for goodbyes.  It was all very teary and upsetting and stuff (not so much for me) but obviously Kev will be sorely missed.

So once again it ended up with Kev and I in his apartment (seriously, move me closer to the bus stop so people will actually want to come to my apartment) and once again, the chatting ended up with me in tears.  I'm such a freak.  You'd think I was the one leaving.  Anyway, so here I am kinda feeling better and about to go to bed. Night!

24.8.2006: Walmart!

Did hardly anything today.  What I did do was wake up and go to the post office (got the bus) to send off a parcel.  I then decided to walk back instead of waiting an hour for the bus, but it decided to rain (as usual, I should remember that at about 3 it always decides to rain) but I did get back in the end.  I then got the bus to Walmart as I really needed food.  I spent about $70 which is really good considering what I got.  I also bought this bag trolley thing so I wouldn't have to carry all the heavy stuff, best investment I've ever made.

So when I got home I had Chicken Tonight (all thanks to Mum!) and then rasperry danish and ice cream for pudding.  That's the first actual proper meal I've had in ages.

23.8.2006: Universal!

Yes, today Ona, Andy and I went to Universal Studios!  Ona hired a car so we wouldn't have to take a cab or the bus.  It's so much easier having a car because we can get everywhere much quicker.  Anyway we went off to Downtown Disney first so Andy could buy some Mickey ears, and then we stopped off at the Hess petrol station for breakfast (mmmmmm I got Krispy Kreme donuts!).  Then it was time to go to Mouse Surplus!  It's this awesome place like Property Control, but it's not run by Disney and it's for very large items....large as in they had the front of a monorail, part of the Barnstormer track, and the snow globes from the Share A Dream parade.

It's such an awesome place.  I bought some silver Epcot envelopes, one of the stateroom books from the Cruise Line (the ones you're not supposed to take!), as well as some Mickey straws and badges and other bits and bobs all for $7!  Oh I also got a 1989 Eyes and Ears, featuring the opening of Disney MGM Studios!  So impressed!

So then it was time to go to Universal.  We all donned out Mickey ears (this was a real Disney Dork day...we decided that if guests can wear Universal shirts and hats to Disney, we can ear Mickey ears to Universal).  We got so much attention all day, and loads of people asking where we got our ears...Disney should be paying us for our advertisement.  Anyway we went with prefered parking (I swear it's gone up since I went a few months ago) and set off to get our tickets (well we all had them, but Ona had to pick up her annual pass, and we both went to get our Halloween Horror Night tickets) and then off to Universal.  We were supposed to meet up with Brynna and her friend Ryan, but in all we saw them twice during the day.

Anyway we didn't get an Express Pass and to be honest the longest we waited in line was 20 minutes.  So first it was ET, then Back to the Future (we skipped Terminator 3D hoping to do it later after we came back from Islands of Adventure) and worked our way around the park.  Note to self...never take Ona on The Mummy Returns again!  Poor thing was so scared, and I felt really bad taking her on it...but now at least we know!

Once we'd gotten off The Mummy Returns it started to chuck it down.  No problem we thought, we'll head over to Islands and ride some rides there, forgetting that most of them would be closed because they're all outside and it was thundering and lightning.  Oh well we got to ride The Cat in the Hat.  By the time we got off that the rain had stopped so we went on the Sky train (the opposite track to last time so we went through the restaurant) and worked our way around the park there.  Andy and I managed to get on the Hulk (the Dueling Dragons was closed) so at least we got to go on one roller coaster.

Then it was time to return home.  We had a look around Target (I think it's the Tesco equivalent...pity there isn't one near Vista) and I spent $1 woo! Big spender eh?  We then returned to Vista where Andy signed Ona in and I went to grab Kev so we could go watch Wishes at MK.  We parked in the Polynesian and took the monorail to the Kingdom.  I really love Wishes.  We sat in the bakery and the others got something to eat, before heading out to watch the fireworks.  Ona and Andy headed into the Emporium while Kev and I finished singing Wishes, and we went in too.  Strangely we bumped in Jorden and his friend so we had a chat...and then we bumped into Kara (lives downstairs from Kev, worked with Shayna in Toontown).  So we headed back to Wendy's!  And stood for a long time outside chatting, then Ona had to go home.  Kara, Andy, Kev and I went back to Kara's apartment to watch highlight's from the Emperor's New Groove.  It was so funny lol.

Anyway so now I'm off to bed...I was supposed to be going to Epcot with Andy, Nitza and Jei tomorrow to do this Kim Possible thing but I think I'll sleep in! Night xx

17.8.2006: La la la

Ok so didn't do much today on my day off.  I did however pop over to Epcot at about 8pm to see Kev at the tip board.  Such a sweet position; lots of guest contact and no spieling!  So I headed over to the Art of Disney to get posters for Mum while I waited for Kevina to finish work.  I love the Art of Disney, so much stuff I want!

So I tagged along with Kev while he went to get his stuff, and then we got the bus back to Cast Services.  Then we had to wait for the bus while Illuminations is on...not a very good view, too many trees in the way.  The view of Wishes at Westclock is way better.  So after that we went to Wendy's as usual.  No surprise there.

16.8.2006: Phew busy day.

Hehe today was Epcot and MK day.  Kev and I were going to go to Epcot to do this Kim Possible cell phone do dah, but we found out you had to put down a $300 deposit in case you broke the gadget...yeah right.  So instead we decided to head over to MK to watch the parade.  However, we did miss 4 (or maybe it was 5) buses in the process.  We did however get the bus at last and were joined by Vanessa.  So off we toodled to the TTC where we caught the monorail (and sat in the front!) to the MK.  We browsed a bit in the Emporium and then settled down on Main Street to watch the parade.  I still love it, and am gradually learning the words...I just wish someone had a copy of them.  After the fantabulous parade we headed over to Pecos Bills for lunch.  I swear my stomach is getting smaller because I couldn't eat it all LOL.  Then we went on Splash Mountain with the help of our No Strings Attached coupon given to us by Tobias as the TTC (met him a couple of times because he does Main Street PAC with Kev).  We did however put my umbrella up as you come round the corner next to the drop....not that we would have gotten wet anyway.

After that we headed downstairs to see if Kev could get his hair cut...as apparently he isn't 'Disney Look'  whatever.  They had just closed though so oh well.  So then we were heading back onstage up by the train station when some horrible security guard asked us if we'd been working (well she just said girls so I guess she was just refering to Vanessa and me...unless she thought Kev was a girl) and said we had no business being backstage even though we were going to the hairdressers.  Moody cow.  We were only going back onstage...I could have been working for all she knew.

So then we took the monorail back over to the TTC and then over to Epcot.  Once there we popped into Innoventions so Kev and Vanessa could speak to one of their managers (seriously, at Epcot they don't even care if we go backstage...I don't see what the problem is at MK), and so they could check out the new Segways...oooooh.  We were then dragged on Journey into Your Imagination, and then I dragged the other two off to watch Turtle Talk with Crush.  We decided they needed to do a Fish Talk with Dory...how funny would that be!  Anyway, it was different to the last time I saw it, and once again hilarious.  I think the other two enjoyed it...Vanessa was laughing away at it anyway!  We then went to MouseGear to do a little bit of shopping (but they didn't have the pirate hoodie I wanted so I'll get that tomorrow when I go over to DTD).  We did however forget to go to the Art of Disney shop so I'll do that tomorrow as well when I go to bug Kev and the Tip Board.

Then we headed over to the Illuminations viewing area to watch...you guessed it, Illuminations.  Those fireworks did not do my head any good, so by the time they were finished I wasn't feeling all that good.  It got worse as we headed back to the monorail, but I guess I'm a little stubborn and insisted that I didn't need first aid (in the form or painkillers lol).  We then monorail it over to MK to see the Kiss Goodnight, and just got in to watch Wishes.  By this time I was feeling awful so Kev sweetly went to first aid for me to get some Extra Strenght Non-Aspirin stuff...works wonders that does.  Anyway, we went to the hub to see the Kiss Goodnight, and it never happened .  Grrrrrrrrr stupid Tel-A-Cast.

Then we trudged home, went to Wendy's as usual, hung around talking for a bit, and now I'm off to bed because it's gone 2 and I'm ill and tired.

Night xx

10.8.2006: Disney Dreams Come True and Goodbye Wishes!

Hmmm today I certainly didn't get up early.  I headed off around 2pm to go see the new parade at MK.  It's not entirely different...mainly the same floats and stuff but I think the music is awesome, and the new choreography is great.  I love the parade!  I also bought some awesome sweets from Goofy's Candy Co.  Yum!

So I came back and had a shower and messed around on the laptop (making up a new photo site...the link is on the homepage!) before getting ready to go to MK.  It was Lisa's last night tonight .  She's the last of our bakery crew to leave and it's very sad.  Love you Lisa!  Anyway I went in to sing Wishes for her, and pictures were taken and stuff.  I'm going to miss her a lot, and now it won't quite be the same working at the Bakery without her.

So yeah then I came back home.  Oh I also collected my class certificate and stuff....passed with 94% woo!

9.8.2006: Epcot, Magic Kingdom and the Emperors New Groove!

Well today started extremely early...considering we didn't go to bed until 4am...having stayed up very late watching a DVD!

So Kev and I got the 8.45am bus to Epcot, and we got there for opening.  I was very surprised that Kev even turned up..kudos to him.  I, for some reason, was hardly tired at all, although I did feel it later in the day.

We headed to Soarin' first (I think), got Fastpasses for that, then just queued all of 10 minutes.  We were sat on the right hand side, third row....I don't I've ever had anything but front row and to be honest the ride was rubbish because of that.

We then went to do Living with the Land.  The host was awful.  He snapped at guests and really looked like he hated his job.  Kev wanted to complain about him but we couldn't find a manager.  Why are they never around when we need them?

We then went back to Soarin' and used our  Fastpasses; pointless seeing as it was practically walk on.  We got front row this time and the experience was much better!

We then went over to Test Track (where I got Fastpasses without using my ticket....naughty!) and then we queued.  I love Test Track..and the picture was so weird.  Then it was time for Mission Space (green side obviously) and we both had great fun pushing buttons and flicking switches.

Then it was time to head to World Showcase!  Mexico was first, and of course we had to do El Rio de Tiempo...such a freaky ride, I have the song in my head right now.  We also did Maelstrom, Impressions de France, and O Canada (two things I've never done, and to be honest they're not all that bad).  The hostess in France was hilarious and we wanted to give her a GSF card but once again, no managers around.

We ate in the USA and I had this gorgeous salad (felt like being healthy).  Yum....I loved it...way too much for me to eat though.  We also did some shopping (not enough in my opinion, but we're coming back next Wednesday to do major shopping, and try out this new Kim Possible adventure mobile thingy)  I bought a fan and parasol in China...the parasol has my name on it in Chinese!  How cool is that?  There are so many things I want, I can't wait to come back.

So yeah we finished World Showcase and headed over to do Spaceship Earth...then we caught the bus home.  Kev went to nap for all of 20 minutes, and I read my book in bed, before catching the bus to MK!

Before Wishes we did Peter Pan's Flight, The Many Adventure of Winnie the Pooh (first time since I've been here!) and the Haunted Mansion.  Then it was Wishes time!  We popped into the bakery to find out what time it closed (I should know that!) and then out onto the almost empty Main Street to watch Wishes.  It's great being low season.

So then it was back to buy food (mmmmmmmmmmm banana bread pudding) and then the bus back to Vista.  We went to Wendy's again and now it's definitely time for bed!

Oh and we couldn't stop saying ENG  quotes LOL.

3.8.2006: Illuminations, Alfredos and Mission Space

Hehe yeah today I woke up and was messing on my laptop when Andy msn'd me and wanted to know if I wanted to go somewhere for lunch.  Mcd's is was then!  Hehe I haven't had a McDonald's in months, but I recently found out that we get discount at the one in DTD!  Woo!  But I must remember, next time Andy suggests that we walk, I will say no!  I don't care if he wants pictures by the sign, it was hell!

I almost died it was so hot.

Anyway McD's was good (yummy yummy yummy) and then we wandered around The World of Disney and Once Upon a Toy (and saw a lot of things that I want...like a pirate ducky and the main gate sign for Disney) before Andy had to go to work (woo I love days off.)  So he caught the resort bus and I sat waiting for the F bus to come.  Took ages because I didn't read the timetable right but oh well.  I then came back to cool off and then decided that I wanted to go to Epcot to tape Illuminations.  I then got talking to Jorden on msn and we arranged to go earlier than I was planning too, then Jei got involved  which was fine because I was going to ask her if she wanted to come anyways, so off we trotted to Epcot.

Now Jorden has just checked out at Mission Space (as in he finished training) and gave us the grand tour of how things work.  In fact I think we're now so informed that Jei and I could train people at Mission Space!  So we did that and then went to try and find Kev at work, but Innoventions was closed and he was off wandering somewhere.  Oh well, we tried at like nearly every country in World Showcase to go somewhere for dinner, but everywhere was booked, although we did get a reservation at Alfredo's in Italy for 9.30pm (thanks to Jei!), so Jei and I satisfied our need for food with cake from Germany!  Good stuff!

We then headed back round to Italy to watch Illuminations (the video isn't all that good so I'll need to go again, but what I did get is kinda funny).

Now Alfredo's is definitely overpriced.  I paid $20 for a lasagne (but omg it was awesome lasagne, obviously not as good as Mum's but still...well worth what I paid for it) but the other two weren't all too keen on their meals.  Ah well...it's now my mission to have eaten everywhere in World Showcase.  Won't be that hard I don't think!

So then we headed over to Character Connection where Kev was doing EMH and bugged him.  Whilst getting pictures of us with the characters... they're so cute!  I am officially in love with Dale hehe.

Anyway after that we waited for Kev to finish work, then got the bus back home where we dropped off Jorden, the Jei and finally us two and Vanessa at Vista.  We then went to Wendy's avec Brynna.

Ah well thats about it.

2.8.2006: Ooooh hair cut

Well today started out pretty early.  I headed over to MK where I went to costuming to pick up some more costumes (and stole all the small shirts...mwhahahahahaha) and then over to the tunnels where Kingdom Kutters is based.  This is where I was going to get my hair cut!  It's very small but they are good at it...I guess they must be to comply with the Disney look!  The woman who did my hair works at the Grand Floridian too as a hair dresser....and although my hair only looks shorter, it feels a lot nicer too hehe!

So that was my adventure at the hairdressers.

Then I hopped on the monorail over to the TTC and then got a bus to MGM (but not before meeting a family who had ridden my boat the other day and remembered me!  How weird is that?...we had a nice long chat on the bus) where I met Andy and his family.  They too are really nice!  I reckon all CM's must have nice families lol.  We went to the Hollywood Brown Derby for lunch (never been there before and omg it was amazing)  Definitely a high seniority restaurant because all the servers were basically old LOL.  I had barbeque chicken with this salad thingy and flatbread...twas soooooooooo gorgeous I want it right now.  Pudding was also amazing...I had flourless chocolate cake and it came with these fancy chocolate pieces with designs on them and everything...I have a picture somewhere I'll show you another time.

Yum

After lunch we parted, so Andy and I caught the bus from MGM (he had to go to work) and I came home.

I then shoved some laundry in and waited for Heather to text me to say they were nearly on their way to Vista.  Heather, Dez, Jose and I headed over to Chik-Fil-A (surprisingly enough I was actually hungry at this point, having been stuffed at MGM) and then headed to DTD to the cinema there to see Monster House!  Such a great and funny film.  It made me jump in one part though which made the others laugh. Hmph.  I'm still loving the cinema though, the seats are great!

We then headed back over to near Vista and did the Hawaiian Rumble minature golf.  I came second ...I think there was something wrong with the course, but it was a lot of fun!  We then had pizza (more food...bleugh) and then they dropped me back home!  Hehe

Then I went to Wendy's with none other than Kev (but ate nothing! although he tried to make me to) and then we came back to watch Meet the Fockers.  Missed half of it because I drifted off to sleep, but from what I saw it was funny.  Kev then left (having finished off my fav ice cream ) and I'm now going to bed!  Night!

29.7.2006: Happy Birthday Jei!

Well today was so much fun!

First of all I didn't wake up until about 9am (early I know but I did go to bed early) and just lazed around for a bit.  Then I got a phone call from Jei asking if I was still going to meet them at the Yacht Club (of course) at noon, but at 11.30 Jei and her Mum came to Vista to pick Matt and me up.  Then we headed over to the Commons to pick up Jei's friend Karin (I think that's how you spell it, correct me if I'm wrong) and then we headed over to the resort.  We were dropped off while her Mum went to pick  Ona up from Chatham, so the rest of us got the table at the Yacht Club Galley (nice place btw!  I want to stay at the Yacht Club sometime).  They gave us pictures to colour in (although my donald had to be green because I thought that would be fun) and we gave them to Jei as a little keepsake hehe.

The food was so nice!  I had fish and chips (nothing new there) which was gorgeous.  Then we walked Karin up to Epcot because she had to go to work, and we took the boat back to the resort.  Ona and Matt then had to leave for work, so the remaining 3 of us got ready to go to Typhoon Lagoon!  Woo, the second time I've been to a water park since I've been here.  We had fun too!  Jei and I did the Crush 'n' Gusher which was so much fun, but then the storm clouds headed over and the park went 101.  We waited it out though (talking to somem lifeguards) and about 30 minutes later it reopened, and there was hardly any people in the park!  We did the lazy river (although part of it was closed off because rocks had been falling there, but we did most of it anyway) and then stopped off to do the family raft and the ring rides.  Hehe that yellow one is a little bumpy!

After Typhoon we headed back to the resort so we could get ready to go to Beaches and Cream with I think the whole population of the ICP program! Hehe.  There was Jei, Tessa, Andy, Brynna, Kev, Jorden, John, Christine, Jei's Mum and me of course!  I had a burger to start and then we all shared a Kitchen Sink...it was great! and I really was one of those sinks!

So all in all it was a fabulous day.  Then Brynna, Kev, Andy and I got a cab back to Vista where we said goodbye and Kev and I headed over to Bennigans for a leaving party (honestly, those Innoventions people are mental, but hilarious).

But right now I'm off to bed!  Night!

27.6.2006: AK and Bed!

Yes today was my first day off!  And one would think I'd be doing what I usually do...sleeping.  Erm...hell no.  I got up at 8 and caught the 9.20am bus to AK!  I was going there with Andy and his two friends from home Faye (if that's how you spell it..correct me if it's not and I will change it!) and Scott.  Really fun guys to hang out with and fun we had!  We were going to get fastpasses for EE but  they were too late in the afternoon for us, so we headed over to get fastpasses for Dinosaur, and then went to see the Festival of the Lion King!  I really love this show, especially the 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight' bit, and the Finale.  So there I was singing away to it all.  Hehe.  Then we went back over to Dinosaur...and lets just say the picture was interesting...Andy is trying to strangle me while I'm pointing at the dinosaur.   Thanks Andy

Then we did Primeval Whirl (once again being thrown around like a jelly bean) and then headed off to the Flame Grill BBQ for lunch!  Diiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiscount!  I had a childs hotdog (cheap and I was in a hotdog mood) and kept the Mickey shaped plate you get with it!  Hehe.

Then it was time to head over to MK for a little playing.  We fastpassed Space with my re-ads, then got fastpasses for Buzz, went over to HM to do that (although no one I knew was working) and while we were queuing for that, a thunderstorm started (all down to the 101 dance I was doing over at AK methinks...you can thank me later!).  Apparently Jungle went down twice that day!  Then we went back to Buzz and did that...Andy beat me but only because he got the better position when the ride stopped....I couldn't get all the big number ones .

Then it was time to say goodbye to the other two, and Andy and I walked over to the Contemporary to see if his parents had arrived.  They hadn't so we waited in the lobby.  However it was at this time that I decided to go home...I was so tired I was falling asleep in the lobby...I think thats a sign to go to bed LOL!  So I bid my dues and walked back to MK (complete with pirate ears I had bought earlier...which my name on too!), picked up my costumes in my locker, and caught the A bus back to Vista.

I didn't do much here except make dinner (woo spag bowl and then bananas and custard! Yum!) and then sat down to watch a DVD (RENT) as well as washing my hair (I have to be up early tomorrow!).  I've decided I'm going to bed at 11pm so that I can get a decent nights sleep before having to wake up at 7am tomorrow (I have to be at work at 9.15am...ouch!) so I'm going to read for a bit...toodles!

19.7.2006: MGM!

Yes today I headed off to MGM with Kev and co (i.e. family).  It was such a fun day, although it did rain for a bit.  We did RnR (having been backdoored on by Brynna) and she gave us a NSA for Tower.  I love Brynna lol.  So yeah we did a lot of the attractions...including the GMR and the backlot tour (where it rained) and then went back to RnR when Brynna got off work.  We went on it again, and went over to Tower again, where the picture was hilarious...I was giving Kev evil looks and Brynna was pretending to slap him...except the picture wasn't taken the at the first drop like it normally does and she had to do it again!  Bare in mind Kev knew nothing about this so needless to say he wasn't too pleased.  Awww.

Anyway we did it one more time before Brynna had to go home, and this time we treated him like he was the king...lol.  Honestly...he's worse than a girl.  Once Brynna had left (having shown Kev and I around backstage MGM) we headed over to Fantasmic!  I really love this show and our seats were quite good.  Except tonight the lift wasn't working, so Mickey had to run onstage, and there was no cauldron.  Oh well it was still awesome.  We didn't manage to find Hannah though (you're in big trouble missy) who said she would be working Fantasmic...but oh well.

So we were dropped back off at Vista and I went to get changed into my PJ's before returning to Kev's (I hate people who live near the bustop!).  We were waiting for everyone to get off work so we could go to Wendy's...but I felt really dizzy and exhausted (too much sun I think) so now I'm going to bed and missing out on ice cream.  Night!

18.7.2006: Epcot Lightning!

Haven't had the time or energy to update but I will!  This will have to satisfy you for now.

Ok so today was my day off (it wasn't supposed to be but my managers worked out that I can only be scheduled to work 5 days a week...why they couldn't have worked this out 5 months ago I don't know).  I went to class in the morning, and kept almost falling asleep because I was so tired (not having gone to bed until 2.30am because Kev and I ate ice cream at mine, and then I finished my essay).  But luckily we finished at 10am so I came back and went to bed again!  So at about 3pm I got up and did a few things...and then Andy asked me if I wanted to go to Epcot with him and Ona, and of course I said yes.  We took the monorail (and sat in the front with the Driver!  I got my co-pilot license! Hehe).  And then went to find Kev who was doing wristbands...and finally managed to get us some (Kev I absolutely love you...but I'm never putting you in that position again....I felt so bad ).  We then headed over to the restaurant in Morocco (we had an ADR) and ate there...I had chicken kebabs...mmmmmmmmm but our waiter was a tad dumb guestish...kept getting out order wrong) but we did miss Illuminations...oh well I saw it yesterday!  We did a few of the attractions...Journey into Your Imagination, Spaceship Earth...but we did just wander around World Showcase.  Then the lightning started (see above picture and blurry video on my video page).  It was amazing.  Then Andy and Ona headed home on the monorail (Andy refuses to go backstage in the parks because we're not supposed to...pah I say) while I'll went backstage to the bus stop to wait for Kev to come out (he does take a ruddy long time).  Then we headed back, after sleeping on the bus and being poked by Kev grrrrrrrr, and headed off to Wendy's (as usual).  Right now though I'm going to bed.  Night!

13.7.2006: PINS!

Well today I got up at about 12 (having not gone to bed till early in the morning), showered the fastest I think I ever have, and caught the C bus over to Epcot so I could go to the SSS (Summer Salsa Sale) Cast Pin Event.  It was so hot I almost died walking across the desert they call the Epcot parking lot (the sale was in Wonder section way way way at the back).  Anyway once getting there I had to register (no idea why) but got a pin and a little plaque thingy that says "Cast Member's Create Magic, Walt Disney World, Since October 1, 1971" so that's now up on my wall.  Anyway to cut a long story short I spent $366 worth on pins, although with my nice 75% discount that came out as $100 so I'm extremely pleased!  I got quite a few as well, and a couple of doubles for those at home (although I was only allowed to get two of each so that's why I didn't get three).  I also got a grab back which contained many limited edition ones, including a very very cool Valentines Day Beauty and the Beast one (which I love because I'm Belle....duh) so that made my day.  Then I came home with all intentions of doing work for class (yeah right) but just lounged around not doing much...except I did two hours of ironing which practically killed me...that's like ironing every single piece of clothing I own.

I then got the usual phone call from Kev and we all trundled off to Wendy's where for once I didn't eat anything (because I had finished off the last of my cold pizza before I was phoned).  We did however go to Walgreens for ice cream and went to the Pavilion where we scoffed the lot.  YUM!  Anyway then we all headed home and I'm now going to bed!

12.7.2006: OMG LIGHTS ON!

So today once again was an awesome day off.  I didn't get up until 11am and texted both Gemma and Kev to let them know I'd be getting the 1.15 bus to DTD.  Now I got a text back from Gemma saying okeydokey..but as expected heard nothing from Kev...nothing new there lol.  So at 12.15 I phoned him and low and behold he actually answered (miracles do happen then) and told him he had an hour to get ready.  So I spent the remainder of that time getting ready and actually straightening my hair for once.  So it gets to about 12.55 and I get a phone call from Kev telling me he won't make it.  Typical.  Apparently the Yeti (his roomate) is in the shower and takes ages...not unlike someone else I know .  Anyway I half expected that...so I met Gemma on the bus and off we went to Downtown Disney.  It was chucking it down with rain and the nearest bus stop to the cinema was far enough away for us to be soaked by the time we got there.  Oh well.

So we got tickets for the 2.30 showing of Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest.  We sat right in the middle of the theatre with chocolate buttons and MnM's and spent ages watching the pre-movie adverts (not hearing though...for some reason the sound wasn't working).  There looks to be some pretty good films coming out...can't remember what they're called though.  We were also talking to a guy just up from us who heard our accents and wanted to know all about what we were doing here and what England was like and such...it was a good way to waste 20 mins.

And then the film began...now I won't spoil it for all of you who haven't seen it...but it was so good.  You can't watch it without having seen the first film...and I must admit it isn't as good...but it's a nice set-up for the third film.  The only problem I had with it was that the ending nearly killed me...how could they leave it like that?

Grrrrrrrrrrr.

So after that we went over to the pin station as Gemma needed to buy some pins...and I saw that the new ones I wanted were already out so I'll be going back sometime to get those...but then we missed the bus.  Damn.  So I suggested we walk back too Vista...and we did.  It didn't take that long and we got some nice pictures with the main gate that leads into the Disney Resort near DTD.  Teehee.

So getting back to Vista, Gemma caught the bus to the Commons and I headed to Kev's apartment where we (meaning Kev, Ben and I) ordered pizza (yum) and waited for that while I got changed out of my damp clothes and went to Walgreens for Kev (honestly...I'm more of a slave than a secretary).  Then we decided to go to MGM and met Jei on the bus.  Now this was a fun night.  We went to do RnR first...and were backdoored onto the ride.  Hehe I love people who work at MGM, they are so nice.  Then we went over to do ToT, and decided to look asleep in the picture.  We had noisy screaming people.  What is wrong with them?  Don't scream until the drop dammit!  We managed to get EMH wristbands (ta Ben ) so we could stay until 1am! Woo!  Then it was off to Star Tours (where Jei and I had the most fun I've ever had on that ride) and then to the Great Movie Ride just so we could work out who starred in Singin' in the Rain (I really need to see that movie...and Casablanca).  All in all it was fun.  Then we went to get slushies (well Jei and I at least) from Sweet Spells.  I got a black cherry one..mmmmmmmmmm is all I have to say to that..and a chocolate covered mashmallow stick...I won't tell you what Kev said it was...the language was horrible .  Ben had gone home by this time because he needed to get a decent nights sleep...but hey I have another day off tomorrow so I don't care!  We hung around outside RnR to see if Brynna would be placed in an outdoor position...but she wasn't.  Kev went to see if she was at unload (which she wasn't) and during this time Jei and I were given two ToT fastpasses (way past the time but they're still good) so Kev decided to sit this one out (too much pizza methinks....oink) and once again we had a group of screaming girls...grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.  The picture was funny though...Jei was looking in her mirror and I was reading my hidden Mickey book (with Minnie ears on).   Didn't have much time to look at the picture because we were both dragged off by Kev (honestly he pulled me along so fast I almost fell flat on my face...I can't run in flip flops!) so we wouldn't miss getting on RnR one more time.  We made it with seconds to spare and practically walked on.  Woo!  Then Brynna told us to wait at unload (where we took random pictures with wigs on....lmao) and then Brynna told us to go back through the transfer queue.  You'll never guess what happened next... WE GOT TO RIDE WITH THE LIGHTS ON!

I mean....omg...omg...omg...omg I want to marry RnR... it's so aweosme with the light's on...not that I could see clearly, I had my glasses off...but from what I could make out it was so cool.  So that's one more life achievement done.  Just need to do the tour of HM now....which apparently our managers are going to arrange before August! Woo!

So we ran for the bus and I slept practically all the way home.  Then collected my stuff from Kev's and came back.  Now I'm off to  bed because It's nearly 3am...night!

30.6.2006: Universal Studios!

Wooooo today was even better than yesterday!  We all got up at 7 o'clock and headed off to Universal Studios.  Once we got there it was hard to decide what ticket for me to get...I wanted more than just a one day ticket, but then didn't think I'd get my money's worth out of an annual pass.  So in the end I opted for a 3 day no expiry ticket...meaning that I still have 2 days left to use whenever I want!

We headed to Universal Studios first, and rode Terminator 3D and ET before the queues really got going.  I love ET, that ride is so cute and I love how ET says your name at the end!  Teminator 3D scares me a little... those metal points look too real for me liking.  The woman who did the preshow was excellent...she was so funny in her actions that I almost missed half of the video they play.

After that we went to Back to the Future (always makes me feel kinda woozy that one) and then onto Men in Black!  Such a good ride and I almost beat Rowans score, except he pressed the red button at the correct time and got a bonus.. hmph...the people in the row behind us must have been rubbish though...because Will Smith still thought we were rubbish.

Woo then after that we headed to Jaws (just a quick mention that we did buy the express ticket too...which kinda works like a fastpass but you can only get on each attraction once using it) and got on that fairly quickly.  I was sat at the back (the guy who was directing us where to go obviously didn't know how many people you can fit in one row) and in the boat scene it really is creepy when the shark swims  up beside the boat...I've never had that before because usually we're at the front.

Then from Jaws we went to Earthquake!  And this was amazing because I got picked to be a stuntwoman   I had to do the scene where I'm supposed to do something down a brick building (can't remember what is was, I was too busy working out what I was supposed to be doing) but the rope breaks and I plummet to the ground.  I then had to walk up these steps pretending I was in great pain...it was so much fun!  Hehehe.  Then we went to experience an earthquake...gotta love that ride!

So then we headed over to the Revenge of the Mummy.  After all the hype about it last year (the first time I went on it) I was rather disappointed...they should have kept Kongfrontation in my opinion, but nevertheless it was a good ride.  We didn't do Twister because that is just plain boring once you've ridden it before, so we headed over to where all the shows are.  The Jimmy Neutron simulator is just so funny...especially when they do the 'with a little bit of this...' dance at the end...we're bumping all over the place!  Shrek 4D is also great...especially the pre-show which is highly entertaining...and I love galloping along with the onion carriage.

We went over to Islands of Adventure at this point (having done all of Universal in one morning, kudos to the express plus ticket) and first went to have lunch over at Circus McGurkus Cafe Stoo-pendous.  I can't remember what I had but I guess it must have been good because I didn't complain...I reckon it was a cheeseburger...that's what I always have.  It was inside the big circus tent in Seuss Landing, and from here you can see that The High in the Sky Suess Trolley Train Ride was finally open...I've wanted to go on that for years and we could never tell if it was an attraction because it was never open.

So after lunch we headed off to do The Cat in the Hat (always good dizzy fun) and the Train Ride (I really wanted to do the green side because it takes you inside the circus, but we got the purple side which was fun anyway).  So then it was time to go over to The Lost Continent.  We did Poseidon's Fury (I swear this has changed since last year...they used to use more actors but now its all images shot onto a water curtain) and then Dueling Dragons.  I absolutely LOVE that ride...and it doesn't make your feet hurt like Montu at Busch does.  This time we passed the Flying Unicorn (we usually always go on it but Rowan didn't want to and I wasn't going on my own!) and into Jurassic Park.

There's only one attraction to do here and that's the River Adventure.  The good thing about it is that although there's an enormous splash..we're not the ones who get wet (kinda like on Sheikra..it goes over a water pool...but on the bottom of the vehicle it has scoops that scoop up the water and soak bystanders...the was a whole group of brazilians standing there getting soaked...well the River Adventure boats are designed to make a big splash too).  The dinosaurs always kinda scare me even though I know what's going to happen LOL.

So then it was over to my favourite part...Toon Lagoon!  This is where all the fun water rides are.  Rowan and I went on Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls first...this is the flume ride thats gets you soaked even before you get to the drop.  And the drop is amazing...you go down the normal one then over a little hump that has water jets shooting at you....and it's cold water too.. brrrrrrrrrrrr.  But great fun!  Then we all went on Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges (rapids).  I love going on with a family who doesn't know what's coming...it's so much fun..and this time we weren't the ones who got soaked!  A shame really because it was kinda hot.

That left us with one section to to...Marvel Super Hero Island.  I don't know why but the Spiderman ride makes me feel kinda ill...maybe it's the whole 3-D thing combined with moving around...a great effect but a little too much for me...even though it didn't seem as bad this time.  We passed on Doctor Doom's Fearfall...not that I'm too scared to go on it...but honestly, the Detonator and Thorpe Park is tons better, even though it's not as high...this one just goes way too slow.  Anyway last but not least... we went on the Incedible Hulk Coaster.  This one just shoots you off (like the RnR coaters but not as powerful) and those loops and turns are extremely big so it makes it feel as if they go on forever.  Hehe good stuff.

Anyway that was all of Universal finished in one day!  On the way out of Islands we headed over to the rentals place where I got to catch up with my friend Caroline! who is currently a team leader over there.  We chatted for about 30 mins (finding out she was going to MGM the next day, as was I, but she would be leaving before I got there).  It was great to catch up though!

So after a long tiring day we went back to Pop where I picked up my stuff and Mum drove me back to Vista.  Luckily Andy came over and helped me back with my stuff hehe!  Then we watched almost of of High School Musical until I told him to go away because I wanted to sleep.

The end.

29.6.2006: Busch Gardens and Shopping!

Weyhey today was fun, except maybe the getting up at 6 o'clock thing.  Of course I had to get in the shower first, but then since when does anything change LOL?  So we trundled off to the car and it took us about an hour to get there...the only problem with Busch is that from the direction we were coming, you can't see the entrance until you've gone past it, so we had to turn around.  As usual we got prefered parking; that way you don't have to take the tram over to the park, because you're parked right outside the entrance.

We did the park the opposite way around to the rest of the tourists...we started at the back on Rhina Rally (which is pretty awesome actually...no ordinary safari!) and then headed to all the rollercoasters.  They were all pretty much walk on (and on the Scorpion we got the whole thing to ourselves!  Rowan and me that is...Mum would never go on rides like that!) except the Scorpion has no over the head restraints and yet it goes upside down...scares me that on does.  Unfortunately the lion side on Gwazi wasn't open, and the queue was so long for the otherside that we didn't bother.  Now Sheikra!  That is an amazing rollercoaster.  Of course it's a bit like Oblivion at Alton Towers, but so much better!  And we got to sit in the front row too!  Extreme stuff!

The rapids kinda sucked...didn't a single but wet, but we did have fun afterwards squirting all the passing rafts with water jets!  Spent ages and quite a few quarters doing that...evil aren't we? Mwahahaha

So we practically did all of Busch in one morning (like we did last year) but stayed to have lunch where we usually have it.  Then we headed off to go shopping at the Florida Mall!  The second I've been there since I got here.  I heart JC Penny's.  I got lots of t-shirts from there that were down in price...and some awesome socks meant for indoors...so soft and snuggly hehe.  I can't remember if I bought anything else...but it was a fun time shopping hehe.  We also went to the Premium Outlets to go to Pac Sun...where I got some rather awesome shorts...hehe.

After that we headed back to Pop Century...where we went off to Downtown Disney (I think, can't quite remember) and went to Earl of Sandwich! Mmmmmmmmmmm I love that place, and we get discount too!  Then we did a lot of wandering around shops and the such...doing all the necessary shopping we needed to do while I was with Mum so she could get her discount!  We also went to Once Upon a Toy...and I filled up a box with lots of Mr Potato Head things for my potato head at home!

So then back it was to the hotel...where we're now going to bed because it's up early for Universal tomorrow!

20.6.2006: Sooooo tired

Aha!  Her name was Nicky... I was right LOL.  If you have idea what I'm on about, then check out yesterdays blog.  Today began rather slow as I didn't go to bed until 2.30am...Shanan,  Shayna, Kevin (from Canada), another guy (dammit people wear your name tags at all times!) and myself were at the pavilion eating ice cream for a while.  Kev did eventually join us, but once again he took a bit of time in doing so (Shanan and I thought he might have died on the way back from Wendy's)

So that's the backstory and it was very fun!  But however this morning I had class at 8am.  So I got up at 7.30, shoved on some clothes and went treking up to classroom 3.  The class was actually kind of interesting, and I didn't feel as tired as I thought I would.  We talked about what we do to make a guests' vacation even better and stuff like that.  I'm so glad its orientated to work because we can use a lot of good examples (plus Heather from ATT is in my class...it's mainly made up of girls LOL).

After class I had to meet up with the placement tutor from home, Val Dawson.  Actually the two Dace's left class early to see her, but I don't like missing out on stuff I might need for the exam!  At least this way I had my own little session with Val where I could say anything I wanted about the others (and most of it she agreed with!)  Apparently I was the only one who sent them an email (like we were supposed to) letting them know that we were here and where we were working and how we are getting on.  All the first years know about my website which is good (and Becca from the Dynamites has already emailed me about Disney...I sooooooo want to be a Campus Rep!)  So yeah we had a little chat about what I've been up to...and tomorrow she's hoping to come ride my boat!  Argh.  Hehe.  That meeting lasted about 45 mins so after that  I headed back on spent a while on line because I was kind of tired.  Ooooooooooh Andy enlightened me on this amazing program I have on my laptop...Sound Recorder!  I never knew I had it, but now I can record myself sing!  I was trying to put it on my website but for some reason the page always crashes when I try to play it...I don't know if it's the same on anybody elses computer.  Oh well...that means I can upload myself onto my IPod and burn myself to CD's!  Haha how weird does that sound?!?  During this time I also had my first experience with Chick-Fil-A (next to Wendy's)  OMG it's so much better!  I had a spicy chicken wrap (plenty of lettuce in it....so therefore healthy!) with a coke and potato waffle fries...I always want to go there instead of Wendy's...it's wonderful!

Then it became time for my walmart run.  Got on the bus and low and behold Gemma got on the bus at the Commons.  Woo haven't seen her in ages so that was nice.  I really hate going to walmart...so much to buy and so little money.  I did get more credit for my phone, and 3 very cute Disney t-shirts...very very cute and cheap LOL.  I also got the usual food, some ice lolly's, fries...stuff for salad (I know healthy eh?  But I'm fed up of fat, so I got some stuff.  Just need Mum to get here with the salad cream now.  I also bought some caramel popcorn (not so healthy) and had some of that when I got back...t'was delish!

Things started to go a little doo lally then.  I basically just sat around on my laptop (also taking out the rubbish because people keep putting the bins up against the wall and that's how we get ants DAMMIT!)  Pest control also came by earlier today and sprayed the place...how nice of them.

So a couple of hours ago I put some washing on and set my alarm for 9pm and had a little sleep...I woke up exactly on 9pm, but my alarm didn't even go off....I forgot to set it properly...good timing body clock.  So then I went to get my washing, came back and fell asleep for another hour.  And now I'm here writing this.  I think I'm going to go to bed...I'll hear my phone if anyone wants me, but I just need to rest my head...it feels heavy...must be my super sized brain! HA!

Night y'all

19.6.2006: Celebration!

I am sooooooooooo annoyed!  I just spent 15 bluddy minutes typing out the awesome day I had....then pressed the wrong button and lost it all.  Bugger.

So here we go again.

Today was another awesome day!  I think I must be on a roll here, which doesn't happen often.  I slept in until about 11am, and was only woken up by a phone call from the International Program's office telling me that I have a meeting with my placement tutor Val Dawson (Uni. of Glos.) tomorrow at 10am...but I have class then so they've rescheduled it for 11am at the classroom I'll be in. Suits me fine.

So then low and behold I got a call from Ona (on the J1 Academic Program also) saying that she and a couple of others were going to Walmart, and then we'd meet up.  Woo!  I then headed over to Walgreens to get some Ben and Jerry's ice cream (Chunky Monkey and Cherry Garcia...YUM!) and hurried back before it melted and Ona called.  I spent a while watching Hercules and annoying Andy on windows messenger, before Ona called once again and arranged for her to pick me up outside Vista (she has rented a car, as she flew into Sandford Airport and drove down).  So I hopped in (nice car btw) and we headed over to Chatham to pick up a couple of other J1ers...Paul, who I've spoken to a couple of times on win. mess. and another girl...I can't for the life of me remember her name....I'm so bad.  Oh I don't know...memory of a fish here.  So we all went to lunch over at DTD at Wolfgang Puck's, where I had a very scrumptious warm BBQ chicken sandwich. Mmmmm.  We then decided to go over to the town that Disney built...Celebration...and OMG I want to live there for the rest of my life!  It's like the perfect town!  The village houses are gorgeous, and as we drove around we pointed out the ones we wanted to live in.  At one point we decided we should sit in one that was being built and wait for 10 years so we could legally call it ours.  I think we might have needed a tent though.  And some supplies...oh well.  They even have one of those flat water fountains you can get wet (actually soaked) in, but I didn't have the right attire on  and an AMC cinema!  It was very art deco'ish, but looked awesome!

celebration027.jpg

It then began to look like rain, so we headed back to the car and drove over to the Polynesian (using my ID to get us into the MK free, as they don't have theirs yet).  It's extremely nice there, but we went straight over to the monorail and hopped on.  First stop was the Grand Floridian...I love this place...it's so elegant and regal, they even had a piantist and a band playing!  Of course we had a nosy around the shop there...so many things I want to buy, but Disney just doesn't pay well!  Bring on the Summer Salsa Sale! We then jumped back on the monorail and hopped over to the Contemporary (passing MK and listening to Stitch...I'm sorry everyone but I do love him).  What a fiasco we had here.  First we once again looked around the shop, posing for a picture with funky pirate Mickey ears...they do ones with pink bandanas...awesome!

celebration042.jpg

Then in true Disney Dork fashion, Ona and I went on the hunt for Hidden Mickey's!  We began with the new Contemporary attraction...the elevators.  Oh what fun we had!  First we headed to the 6th floor to look for the first one (pictures and such can be found on my Hidden Mickey page), but we needed to be over the other side to see it.  Unfortunately they are doing building work over the other side so we couldn't get past the 'We are currently refurbishing this area for your future enjoyment' boards.  So we decided to head up to the California Grill to check those ones out.  We thought we wouldn't be able to get straight up to the restaurant so we headed to floor 12...not realising that this was being refurbished too.  The elevators should have said access was restricted (kudos to these funky elevators) but this one did, hence the doors opening onto a building site with wires hanging everywhere and the smell of cement in the air.  Oopsie .  So we quickly pressed a random floor (luckily 15 which is where we wanted to go!) andn it took us straight there.  Now you're not supposed to be up there without a reservation, but the guy at the desk was really helpful when we said we were looking for Hidden Mickey's (I should have got his name and given him a GSF card, but one doesn't think of these things when you're playing 'Guess which floor you're on now' with the elevators).  He showed us exactly where they were; even the one on the glass doors which is very hard to get because the doors don't normally shut when the restaurant is in operation!  So we were lucky.  We then tried to get down to floor 7...but it took us to floor 4...and we couldn't work out why we couldn't get to 7...until a guest pointed out that that particular elevator only went to the Grill and back.  Duh.  I think I must have been sleepingwalking, going over to MK and putting my fingers in the biometric reader (the machine you have to insert your fingers in when you put you park ticket in) ZAP!  Brain gone.  Ah well, we got in the correct elevator and headed up to floor 6 (duh again) realising once again we needed to be on floor 7..so up we headed, and finally headed out to the balcony to see the Hidden Mickey....awesome stuff!

Finally we headed back down to meet the other two, and monorailed it back to the Poly, where I spotted another Hidden Mickey (a pretty cool one too) before heading back to the car.  By this time we were thirsty and a tad hungry, so we stopped off at Bennigans...where I had a Chocolate Lava Cake (I think that's the name) which consisted of chocolate sponge, hot fudge and vanilla ice cream.  It beat me though and I couldn't finish it (*gasp*).  Very yummy though.  So at that point I headed back to Vista (having said goodnight to the others...they all live in Chatham) and am now finishing this blog that I typed twice.  I hate it when that happens.  I have to be up early tomorrow but we're supposed to be having a Ben and Jerry's party and I want to eat ice cream.   Meh I dunno, I'm tired and it's been a long day.

I've uploaded some more pictures, but I've decided I'm gonna delete them all from Photobucket and start again...this time I'll know which pictures I've added and which I haven't!

So on that note...night! xx

15.6.2006: What A Weird Day

Today started off pretty good...I hopped on the bus to the TTC where I took the monorail to MK where I got on a bus to Port Orleans.  And what was all this about?  I hear you ask.  Well I was going off to find the Disney Event Group building, and the nearest resort is Port Orleans.  It's very nice there...so quiet compared to other resorts.  Anyway I walked all the way through there out the other side and into this Disney industrial estate kinda thing.  I had to ask in a building where it was (and they didn't know, but gave me this awesome Cast Atlas) but I found the building eventually.  So I now know how to get to rehearsals.  So I took the bus back to MK, where I got on the ferry to the TTC and back on the A bus back to Vista.

Now here comes the bad part of the day.  I got home, opened up my email and dun dun dun...apparently there's nothing anyone at MK can do about changing my schedule because I'm a CP and it would be unfair to full time and part time CM's.  Oh well.  I'll have to turn the part down (but I'm holding out until next week to see if anyone will switch shifts with me and find out what my schedule is like for the week after).  I'm devastated...but that's life I guess... I should be used to having things offered to me and then taken away.

So yeah the day went a bit downhill from there.  I watched some DVD's and then waited for Kev to get home (we were going to Wendy's again LOL) and walked up to the bustop to wait because I had to get out.  On the way met Shanan and Paul (I swear if stalker guy tries to hug me again I will scream!  He even creeps Shanan and Kev out which is saying something LOL) and then went with Shanan and Kev to Wendy's (I have to stop going there) before walking back and hanging out at the Pavilion (on the way bumping in Hannah, my neighbour LOL and helped her back with her shopping LOL).  So we talked about nothing much until about 3am (I love nights like that...just getting out of the apartment is good) before going to bed!  I don't start until 7.30pm tomorrow (doing EMH) so I basically have a whole day free! Yay!

14.6.2006: EVIL PC and MK

Today I didn't wake up until 1pm!  That's extremely late for me LOL...I don't like to waste my days off...but then really I didn't.  At about 2.30pm I went to evil property control with Kev and Ann-Marie (where I got two lots of Minnie ears...one pair gold for the Happiest Celebration on Earth, and the other was a Statue of Liberty pair) followed by Cast Connection (where I got some pyjama bottoms and fairy wings and some other stuff I can't remember).  We then headed over to MK (where I wore my wings) and had lots of fun!  I had some attraction re-entry tickets (like Fastpasses, but you can use them for any attraction.  They're given out when a ride goes down and at the Jungle Cruise, if you're at FP merge and someone comes in the FastPass line and hands them to you, you can keep them...unless you get like a pile of 50 and then you have to hand them in; but most of the time they will give you half back) and so we got onto Space, Splash and Thunder (Mountain!) without having to queue that much at all!

We then headed over to the Columbia Harbour House for dinner, and I had fried fish with fries and a sprite (very yummy...especially the fish...I've never eaten there before), before heading over to HM to find Shanan.  Which we did...she was at Load 2 (I think from what I can tell from her blog) and as we tried to mess with her, just gave us a Mansion like look...before saying something we couldn't quite work out.  Hehe lot's of fun.  Then we went down to Frontierland to watch Spectro.  It was funny watching the CM's there do PAC and pactivities because honestly, they have no idea....Liberty Square PAC totally rules.  After that we headed over to Main Street and outside Casey's to watch Wishes!  As usual that was great, and Kev and I managed to get through singing. the whole song afterwards without me getting distracted.

Ann-Marie had to leave us because she has to work tomorrow morning (she works in Singapore Sal's in Typhoon Lagoon) so that left Kev and I to head over to Tomorrowland to hope on the TTA and do Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin (in which I won by becoming a Cosmic Commando...second one from the top...ner ner that never happens...must have had a good gun).  We then went over to Adventureland and did the Treehouse, but JC was closed when we got to it, so we headed back to the tunnels and over to the other side of Main Street to go to the Bakery for some foooooooood.  I got carrot cake, half of which is now sitting in the fridge waiting for further consumption tomorrow.  To top the night off we sat in front of the castle to watch the Goodnight Kiss (where all the guests are told goodnight and the castle sparkles and it's really quite cute); I think we were just about the only guests left in the park at this point (woo awesome stuff) and it was such a great way to finish everything.  We wanted to take the ferry back to the TTC but it had stopped running according to the Tell-A-Cast so back down the tunnels we went to get the bus back to Vista!  So now here I am writing this update.

Tomorrow is my next day off (no extra hours this week) and so I'm off to look for the Disney Event Group, confirm Mum and Rowan's room in Pop Century, do some washing, tidy my room and go to Walmart.  So it's all go go go, but I don't mind.  I'd rather do that then sit in all day.  I'm not starting work until late on Friday anyway so I don't have to go to bed early!

Anyway I'm tired so sleep time! Nighty Nighty Pyjama Pyjama.

6.6.2006: Another day off!

This morning I went to class which lasted all of an hour and a half.  Yay!  I then changed and joined Jess and gang on the bus to AK where we did like everything...Dinosaur, Everest, Kil. Safari, It's Tough to be a Bug, Primerval Whirl (ouch) and had lunch (mmmmmmmm pork sandwich and fries....yummy!)  I then raced over to MK to get ready for work at the bakery (woohoo), and as usual, was asked to extend the moment I walked up to CDS, oh well it was only another half and hour.  No one I knew was really there though, except Heather, who showed me some of her Wishes pictures which are amazing!  Wish my camera would take pictures like that.  Anyway I was stuck on register for most of the time (because I'm super fast and amazing and well there's only a few of us who can do it because the rest at extra hours!) but that was cool.

Anyway I'm going to watch the rest of 'Memoirs of a Geisha' as I don't work until 5pm tomorrow!

Toodles.

5.6.2006: Another lazy day off!

Well  would you look at that...all my days off seem to be lazy!  I didn't wake up until noon (because I was exhausted due to EMH), so I went over to MK to drop of my costume for tomorrow (because I'm going to AK with Jess and friends and then straight to work at the bakery!) and popped over to evil PC!  Where there was nothing whatsoever worth buying so I suppose that was good.  I did get a couple of things in Cast Connection though...including a Disney karoke set!  I can't wait to try it out!  Oh and an advent calender for christmas .  So I came home and headed over to the outlets where I wandered around for a bit, had some pizza and just bought 'Memoirs of a Geisha'.  I then came home and watched a bit of it before Kev texted me and asked if I wanted to go to MK.  Well I never say no to a park so of course we went...just rode HM but Shanan was at parade (grrrrrrrrrrr) so we went over to watch Wishes (yay), popped into the cone shop where, surprise surprise, Lisa and Heather were, and apparently were just mentioning me LOL.  We then went over to bug Shanan at the second parade, and then came home because Kev had to get up for work the next morning (haha).  But then again I have to get up for class tomorrow so night night!

30.5.2006: Lazy day off.

Well as the title suggests, I did nothing today.  Well ok but nothing exciting.  First I went to class which was ok, we got out early so yay.  Then I went to the gym for 20 mins (it was supposed to be 30 mins but it was so hot I almost died) and then came back to have a shower and get ready for the day.  I then decided to clean the apartment because it was a pigsty, so I cleaned the kitchen and our bathroom and went and got a vacuum so I could clean the floor of all the rubbish!  It looks much tidier now, although I bet it doesn't tomorrow!

Then I went to walgreens and got a screwdriver and a battery for my Mickey Palm Pal kinda thingy (got it from property control really cheap!) only to find out the battery didn't need changing anyway...and I stabbed myself with the screwdriver in the process  so now I have a nice cut on my finger...it's kinda deep too .

So for the rest of the day I waited for the ICP's to come!  And they only got here like half an hour ago, so I'm still waiting for Kev to call me to tell me which apartment he's in so I can go give him his stuff!  Talk about a long day.  I fell asleep 3 times in the space of an hour; from the time Kev called me to say they were on the bus, to the time I texted him to ask if they were walking to the complex!

I'm so tired, but luckily I don't have to get the bus until sometime after 3 tomorrow so I can have a nice lie in.  On thursday I'm going to Epcot with Shanan, John, Shayna (who I've not met yet!) and possibly one of John's friends...so that will be fun!  Then Shanan and I will trundle off to MK for work at 4.45pm (we both start at the same time) so it will be a packed day!  I don't mind, I need to do more now, especially as I'll have no one to talk to on MSN now... well I don't mean no one but you get what I mean.

Oh Kev just phoned to say he's in building 28.... frigging rude! That's right by the bus stop!  Why did I get such a lousy apartment eh?  Oh well...it's nice and quiet back here   We had a few more people move into the block today... they're from somewhere in Asia I imagine...maybe China or something like that.  Anyway I have nothing more to say...I'm surprised I typed so much as it is!

Night everyone! xx

21.5.2006: Audition and Epcot!

Yes well this morning I got up to go to an audition, and for those of you who don't knwo what it's for, I'm not going too broadcast it until I found out the outcome, which should be sometime after Wednesday.

So this afternoon Steven and I went to Epcot and did practically everything I think.  I bought a Limited Edition 1st Anniversary Soaring pin (only 2000 made!) and yes Mum and Rowan I got you one each as well.  So we stayed to watch Illuminations: Reflections of Earth (which as usual was awesome!)  I stopped off to say hi to Gemma in the chippy (as well as getting some chips and shortbread! yummy) and then I came home after Illuminations.

So now I have about 1000 pictures to upload, so I think I may have to delete them all off Photobucket and start again because I can't remember which ones I put on.

17.5.2006: AK and MGM

Yeah so today Steven and I went to Animal Kingdom first.  We went and got a FP for EE and then headed over to Dinosaur where it was only a 20 minute wait!  Which was suprising as AK was certainly the most busiest park that day.  I swear that attraction gets louder and louder every time I go on it.  Anyway then we went to do the Kali River Rapids...and I didn't get as wet as I usually do!  Anyway so after that we headed over to EE, and of course I loved it!

So we got the bus over MGM and went on the ToT (it was only a 20 min wait too!) and Rock 'N' Roller coaster was walk on!  The park was practically empty.  We did Star Tours and the One Man's Dream, and Journey into Narnia, and then went to get seats for Fantasmic!  Like an hour and a half before the show!  They were good seats though and I got some food so yay.

So all in all it was an ok day.

10.5.2006: Busy Busy Busy

I had loads of fun today!  Got up quite late (for me anyway) and just sat around on my laptop for most part, before I went out with Heather, Dez and Babs to check out Eric's restaurant (well at least we think it was )  The pizza was good... yum, and I was starving too!  Anyway, after that we went to MGM to watch Fantasmic (which I love LOL) and did Muppets 3D and the Backlot Tour.  I wanted to take loads of pictures of the props but my camera battery died .  Oh well.  Another time.  Met up with Jose for Fantasmic and got seats about an hour and a half (I'm not really sure, I wasn't looking at my watch a whole lot!), but they were good seats and as usual, it was an awesome show.

Then we went to play minature golf at the WinterSummerland course over at Blizzard Beach...and being the novice I am...I beat them all mwhahahaha.  Honestly it was a fluke...oh and maybe I just have good aim .  Anyway tons of fun.  So now I'm off to bed for a good night's sleep.  I'm taking Allisons shift tomorrow at the bakery so I'll need to go get costumes and might go to EVIL Property Control to see what bargins I can get.

Toodles xx

7.5.2006: Lost

Today was my day off before I start training again, and to be honest I felt a little lost and didn't know what to do.  I got up late, having got back at about 6 this morning (it feels weird to think that I only finished work this morning, feels like ages ago.)  I keep feeling like I should be going to work, but no...I miss everyone already and it's only been a day!

Oh well so I like, did nothing today, except at 8 I went off to MK to get Eric to sign off my uni work, and went to watch Wishes and got ice cream.  I also took some good pictures (expecially of the bakery and cone shop signs, for an extra special project I'm going to start!)

I should really go to bed as I have to get uup at 7am tomorrow and it's already gone 12.

So bedtime, and I'm not tired  damn these stupid schedules.

3.5.2006: Roll Out The Red Carpet!

Today has just been awesome!  I spent the day with Heather, Dez and Aimee and basically did what Disney Dorks do best!  It was so hot today, but we went to the UK and had fish and chips (yum!), but didn't see anyone I knew working... guess everyone had the day off eh?  I took some awesome pictures of like... everything (and yes they will be going up on photobucket very soon), and then we hopped over to Disney MGM Studios and did R 'n' R and ToT (with hardly any wait times which was awesome too!) and the animation thingy (can't remember what it's called and I don't have the energy to lean back and grab my  map!) which I've done before and was very entertaining , and last but not least... the GMR!  I've decided I need to do some more cross stitch (and finish Sleeping Beauty's Castle) so I can buy and do some more! because Disney have some beautiful ones.

Anyway, we went onto Taco Bell (love that place) and then off to DTD to see 'The Benchmarkers'.  Such a funny film, I was giggling all the way through!

So thanks guys, I had an awesome time!

Oh well back to work tomorrow and my third to last day   I swear I will cry on Saturday, but lot's of pictures needing to be taken before that!  I  need one of me in the coat and of my bow!

Oh and btw... I know exactly who is visiting my website (well ok it doesn't give me names), the area you live in and how long you spend here so make sure you leave a message  because I will know if you've been on!

You have been warned...

26.4.2006: Beach!

Today was so fun!  Laura, Lisa, Nastasha and I went and rented a car, and drove to Cocoa Beach!  It didn't take us that long to get there (although we did get lost a couple of times but hey, that's all part of the fun).  We went to RonJon's and bought body boards (first having a McDonald's of course!) and then went down to the beach!  It was so nice, and the sand was really hot .  So we went into the sea first, and it's amazing how warm it is!  The waves weren't all that good (nothing compared to Cornwall! LOL) but they served their purpose.  After a while we went back to sunbath (very bad idea because now I am so burnt and it hurts grrrrrrrrr and very red on my chest and back, though luckily not my arms or face )  So having spent almost 5 hours at the beach, we made our way home, but not before stopping off at the Florida Mall on the way.  We were only there for an hour, because we got lost  on the way back too, and it closed at 9pm.  Oh well we're all going to go another day.  While we were there we went to ColdStones!  It's this amazing ice cream place... and I had an ice cream with chocolate ice cream, cherries and brownie! all  in a waffle bowl... yummy it was so nice!

So then we came back to Vista and Chatham, and checked out each other's apartments, before turning in and going to bed!

19.4.2006: Walmart!

Well I must say this has been the best day off I have had in aaaaaaaaaages.

First, I woke up at 10am, which was a bit annoying because I only got 6 hours of sleep, but oh well.  Alaina, Mai and I went to Walmart, where collectively we spent nearly $300...although I only spent $78 which is quite good for a month's shop.  Anyway we got a taxi there and back, and now our freezer is so packed you can barely fit anything else it in.  While we were there we bought a hot chicken in preparation for the roast dinner we had tonight.  Now sadly  Yabom was at work so couldn't join in with the festivities, but Alex and Pinar came round to join us for dinner, where we had the chicken, roast potatoes, stuffing, veg and gravy!  For pudding we had apple crumble and cream so all was good.

Later in the afternoon (after Walmart but before dinner) I went off to DTD to pick up The Chronicles of Narnia DVD (disssssssssssscount) and found myself getting a wand that you can build yourself!  It's a Belle one and totally matches my crown so yay!  I also got a Grand Re-Opening 2006 World of Disney pin (only 1000 have been made!) so I had a pretty good shop.  Good job I get paid tomorrow, oh in 3 minutes!

So after dinner we all settled down to watch Narnia, although Mai and Alaina went to bed before it finished, but I watched it all.  It was sooooo good, I should have gone to see it at the cinema.  The bit where Aslan gets stabbed made me cry.... anyone offering hugs?

So now quite obviously I'm updating my website.  I hope you all like the song on the homepage...I'm currently trying to learn it but it's a very difficult song to get your head around!

Oh and Mum... NOTHING is more important than Heat...but I need your help with some of the question on the loan form because it's different to last years.

Oh well I guess I should go tidy my bed up so I can actually get in it!

12.4.2006: Shoes! (amongst other stuff!)

Ooooh my first proper day off!  I didn't wake up until about 11am (which still only gave me about 7 hours sleep) and decided I was going to go shopping!  So off I trundled to the Commons on the H bus and walked from there to the Orlando Premium Outlets.  It's only about a five minute walk and thank goodness I don't live at the Commons because shopping would be too convenient!

So I went to Character Premier, which basically has most of the same products that Cast Connection and Property Control have, but I did have a little spree and buy a few t-shirts, and the Aida soundtrack (as the one I had was downloaded from the internet and missing some songs) and a license plate for 2005 (methinks I could start collecting these... they look so good on my wall!)

I then headed over to the Sketchers shop for shoes... I got the white ones that Mum has in pink.. for only $50!  Bargin I say... and then I saw these other white and pink ones with gems on them...so of course had to buy them...and it was buy one pair get another half price! so I only paid $20 for those!  I'm loving outlets

Anyway this evening I went to MK to video Wishes...first having dinner at Caseys (where I was promptly told to get back to the bakery hehe) and then waited around for Wishes to start.  I got quite a good view and was very pleased with the video!  I then rode the TTA (first getting an ice cream cookie sandwich with strawberry ice cream!), then the Jungle Cruise (it NEVER! gets old, and plus a guy I know was the skipper on the boat I was on...I've been waiting for ages to actually hear him do it...and to be honest he is the best skipper I've had so far!) and Pirates of the Caribbean...which did indeed look fresher than it has done.

I also downloaded a podcast to my IPod called 'Inside the Magic' which I listened to while I was at MK and provided a lot of knowledge and entertainment...I recommend you all listen!

Anyway there are some new pictures in PhotoBucket so get on over there and check them out!

5.4.2006: MK Attractions!

Ok, those who have read my guestbook post (and those who haven't... well shame on you!) would have guessed now where I'm going to be working from May until next January

They told us in our last class yesterday!  I was so pleased I could have cried.  The only problem is that the girls from MK ODF who complain a lot are coming with me...but hopefully we'll be put on different attractions.

Anyway so still on a high from class, I went to do my monthly shop at Walmart.  I bought some speaker so now I can hear people on Skype! without having to use my headphones.

So I stayed in.  It was great, just chatting to people and lounging for once and watching A Bug's Life...which I didn't finish because I went to bed earlier than usual.

29.3.2006: Illuminations

Yaaaaaaaaaaay day off!  We had class (snore) and I won't go into that...but then we went to EPCOT to go do soaring (again for me, first time for the others) and watch Illuminations!  Awwwwwwww I love it...we had fish and chips whilst waiting (yum yum).  Anyways afterwards we got the bus back! woo!

22.3.2006: GKTW

Oooooh today was fun!  First we went to class where the WDW Ambassadors for 2004 came to talk to us about their role!  OMG I want to be an ambassador.  It sounds a lot of hard work but so much fun and rewarding at the same time.  I have an ambassador pin don't ya know .

Anyway so after class, Char, Vicki, the two Dace's and I went off to the Common's to sign in for Give Kids The World (GKTW).  Luckily not all the usual people turned up, so as I was on the waiting list I got to go!

Back to the Give Kids the World home page

The village is amazing.  It was empty when we got there, but after our briefing they took us to the castle where we would be looking after the kids.  18 were supposed to turn  up, but only 5 actually came, so there was a lot of volunteers with nothing to do!  We went and ate dinner though which was really good and then went back to the castle to go on the carousel and then dance!  Hehe it was great fun.  One little boy even gave us a tea party and cooked and cleaned for us.  He was soo sweet.

Then I came home and went to bed early for once!!! 11pm!!!

Just so I could get up early today

15.3.2006: Best day so far!

I haven't had a better day off since I've been here!

First, we got our social security cards this morning, although I looked liked I'd just got out of bed when the woman came (which we all had and we looked so funny.)  So that's good.  Then we went to class, and the guy was really interesting.  He is the Manager of Fantasyland operations, and so it was great to hear things about the  park I work in, especially when he talked about things we had heard about and wondered what happened (like the incident at Peter Pan).

Ooooh then I went to the post office!  I had to request it on the DTD bus, but the driver said she would pick me up in an hour when she made the next round.  The post office was so easy!  But so small LOL.  I sent two packages and they only cost me $13!  I'm not sure when they will get there, but this is the first opportunity I had to go and better late than never huh?

Oooooooooh got back, and Pinar, Mai, Alex and I went off to Disney MGM Studios.  OMG what a blast.  We went on ToT first which was so much fun.  Then we went to queue for Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.  The guy at the front of the queue is in our class!  And so he got us in on fastpass even though all the fastpasses had gone.  So we didn't have to wait for an hour!

And then it got even better!  We went to queue for Fantasmic at about 8pm.  Whilst in the queue, Pinar eyed this guy who she thought was cute (and he was LOL).  His was walking backwards and forwards past us moving strollers, and we kept laughing about stuff whilst looking at him, so in the end he came over and asked us what we were laughing about as we kept doing it.  Pinar just came right out and told him she thought he was handsome LOL.  Oh his name is Ray hehe.  We all burst into giggles and he was a little embarrassed, but said he was taken haha.  So we were chatting for a while longer, and then an announcment came on and I replied by saying I wanted to sit in the middle section halfway up so I could get a decent video.  We then chatted a bit more, and he told us to follow him and took us all the way to the VIP seating area!  What a great view.  He then stayed with us the whole time, and let the others in (who we were supposed to meet up with but we could never find each other whilst going on rides.)  It was so good and we were so grateful (even though my battery ran out towards the end, but I got the good bits, just not the boat with all the characters on.)  The finally at the end, we waited until everyone had left the theatre, and had a free reign to walk all the way back!  We found out when he worked (haha so we can get in again) and then came home!  So now we're going to watch Monster's Inc.

Tomorrow I don't start work until 5.45pm (I think) so I'm going to go to the premium outlets to have a look around and maybe buy some stuff in the Disney outlet   I saw some Tinkerbell pyjama bottoms that I want in a gift shop for about $14 so I might get those next time I get paid.  I'm also going early tomorrow to hopefully set up a checking account so I can get a debit card.  That way I don't have to keep going out of my way to get cash.  And I won't spend it all either.

Wooooooooow a long post hehe.

Get writing in that guest book people.  It's not there to look pretty.

8.3.2006: Mmmmmm

Today was another day of class.  So I didn't do much all morning except go do some washing!  Then we all trundled off to class at Chatham.  On the way back we were waiting at the bus stop, and one of the guys who works at the bakery came up to me and told me he had been terminated for drinking!  Oh dear.  His own fault really, and he was such a good CM as well.

Well I went off to Walmart (surprise surprise) and stocked up on food, and then when I got back, a group fo us all went out for pizza at a buffet.  It was quite good actually!  Then Alex and I went to Downtown Disney to do some shopping.  But didn't get back till almost 1am!  So I came online and tried to get on Virtual Magic Kingdom, but it wasn't open, so I'll try again tomorrow!

7.3.2006: BBQ

Woo, well when I got home from  work I was just going to shove a pizza in the oven and lounge in front of the TV.  However, we all got invited to a BBQ so naturally I went!  We had chicken and steak... but it was very cold (the weather not the food) so in the end I went back to Alex's with Alaina, and we watched The Amityville Horror.  Good film, except Alaina fell asleep right at the beginning...silly numpty.

1.3.2006: Boing!

Weeeeeeeeell I felt a LOT better this morning.  The headache had gone at least.  I think that was the worst bit.  So as usual, I was going to go to Walmart this morning, but decided to stay in bed because it was much more appealing.  I did get up after a while though, but that was only to get ready to go to class!  We went to Walmart afterwards though, so I took my trainers with me.  First however, on the way to Walmart, we took a stop at Vista Federal Credit Union, where we all have bank accounts.  It was the most bizare experience I have ever had    The cashiers (or tellers as they call them) are all in a seperate room, and you communicate to them with a screen and cameras, and put your stuff in a tray and send it to them.  Extremely weird.  They deal with more than one person at a time, so it takes aaaaaaaaaaaages.  Give me a good old UK bank anytime.

So after that we got a taxi to Walmart (saved us having to wait for the bus for an hour) which as there were seven of us, only cost us $1 each! Bargin.

To cut a long story short, I spent way too much in Walmart, but it's the last time.  I did buy a DVD afterall (RENT, which I've watched already and OMG it's awesome), and a 300 tablet pack on Anadin, or Anacin as they call it (it was the only size pack they had and I didn't trust anything else) which at least will last me, but did cost $10.  I also got a Disney Princess lunchbox  I've wanted one since I saw it so ner.  Hmmm got food as well which should last me for a good while... food lasts so much longer out here.  For some reason couldn't find any Vitamin C, so I guess the orange juice will have to do.  Also bought a pink gorgeous scarf (yes I know what you're thinking, it's hot right? But it was only $5 and will be great for when I go home!)

Oh also bought a card to top up my phone.  So I can start texting again.  I'm not phoning on it anymore!  Costs a bomb.

Oh and this silly package from Steven should be arriving tomorrow (it better do or I'm going to scream!)  Mai is going to be in so she can take the call and get it for me since I'm at work, but who know's.

Right I'm off to sort the mess on my floor because pest control are coming tomorrow.

Night!! xx

26.2.2006: Playing!

Well today I was going to go to EPCOT and MK, but slept in and went to MK only LOL.  It was quite cold so after a while I went down to the tunnels to go to work.  I did however buy a book about hidden Mickey's, and it is my mission this year to find all nearly 500 of them!  And hopefully take pictures of most of them.  The rest can be found in work!

24.2.2006: Staying Alive!

Weeeeeeeeeell this morning I went off to Pop Century to check it out!  Very nice actually, I really like it, especially as it's so colourful.  I bought some stamps and a limited edition Presidents Day pin (yay) and then made my way back to Vista!

Hmmmm then I did some washing.  It's quite good actually because one of the machines is exactly the same as the machines I used at uni in my first year, so I knew what to do!  The other two you put the washing in from the top, and so I didn't risk them.

I  don't think I did much else.  I was going to go swimming but it was toooooooooo cold today!

The rest of my day can be found in work

rooooooooooooooooar

22.2.2006: Liars!

Well this morning I didn't really do much except go to the gym and check my schedule in the Disney Learning Centre.  This afternoon I had my first Disney class.  All it was really was a speaker talking about his journey from the bottom of the ladder to a leadership role.  It was quite interesting really but I'm not going to go into all the details.

So I came back from class, and then Mai and I went to Disney MGM Studios.  Now I check my Tell-a-Cast and it quite obviously says that Fantasmic was showing at 7pm and 8.30pm.  So Mai and I went off to do Tower of Terror (Mai was petrified) and then the Great Movie Ride and The Voyage of the Little Mermaid (Mai didn' like the latter two, too boring and for kids she said, so I don't think she'll be spending much time in the parks doing ALL the rides.)

Then at 7.30 we went to that Sweet Spells shop to get stuff to eat (AND we get discount!) and then got to the Fantasmic entrance for them to say that there was only one showing and we had  missed it.  Grrrrrrrrrr

So Mai and I came home.. and I went to Walgreens.

I'm now eating a ice cream cookie sandwich.

Night

21.2.2006: Exercise!

Well so much for going to the Florida Mall today.  By the time everyone was up it was too late for me to go, so the others left it until the afternoon, where they went to the Premium Outlets instead.  This morning, hmmmmm, I went to the gym!  For about half an hour which is somewhat of a record for me!  I did 15 minutes on the bike and then 15 minutes on the step walking doo dah thing.  Very technical I know!  Anyway so I came back after and made my dinner for work!  Did a bit of chatting and whatnot and thats about it!  Day off tomorrow though, but I have classes.  I;m then going over to Pop Century Resort to check it out and then who know's?  I need to check CDS to see what time I'm working Thursday.  I think it's 1.00pm to 12.00am.... woah..... 11 hours.

21.2.2006: Expedition Everest

Yay another day off!  Today was very fun actually.  I arrived at Animal Kingdom at about 9am, and went to see Festival of the Lion King straight away!  OMG I loved it!  The music andthe dancing and those monkeys! Hehehehe.  Well once that was over I headed over to EE to see if it was open, and woohoo it was!  I got a fastpass for it so I wouldn't have to queue.  I then went to do Dinosaur, which I swear gets bumpier everytime I go on it, and then Primerval Whirl.  Made me dizzy hehe.  I had a McDonalds for lunch (I know tut tut) and then went to do EE!  It's so much fun!  I won't tell you what happens because it will spoil all the fun for the people who haven't done it yet.

I came back after that because it was so hot and I was in jeans and a jumper because it had been cold earlier!  I had a shower and changed into lighter clothes!, and then went to Walmart.  Didn't buy much food, but I did get a pink rucksack for the parks (very cute and cheap), and a folder for all my class notes.  Amongst other things.  Got back and made dinner for myself and Alaina, and then us two and Mai went off to MK to watch Wishes and go on rides!  It was such a cool night.  We met a guy on the bus who lives in block 38 just down from us, and had a good old chat.  It's amazing the amount of nice people you meet LOL.

So I've just got back and I'm very tired so I'm going to bed.  We're off to the Florida Mall tomorrow hopefully, and then I have work!  Then another day off woo!

Night xxx

16.2.2006: Wishes

Woo hoo! Day off today, and didn't I need it!  Got up at about 9, mooched around for a bit, and the decided to go to MK!  Beforehand I had a look at my video camera instruction booklet so I knew how it worked and then I went to jump on a bus to MK.  I got off at the TTC and met another guy who was playing in the parks before work.  He works on the Jungle Cruise (how cool is that!) and was on his own too, so we joined up and went to do Splash Mountain!  Got drenched  not by the nig drop though, by someone else coming down as we were going up one of the side slopes!  Well that was fun hehe.  Then decided all the queues were too long, so we went backstage to get our pay cheques.  Erm, let's just say I hope they're taken the rent and flight out already!

Then this guy (can't remember his name  he lives in building 39 though, right next to mine!) went to work, and I got in a good spot for the Share A Dream Come True Parade.  It was a really good spot too.

After that I went on some more rides, watched Cinderellabration (and got it all on tape) and then found a spot an HOUR AND A HALF before SpectroMagic.  It was a good spot as well, shame my camera battery ran out   It's ok though I got most of it.

Finally I watched Wishes.  First time too, and its sooooo amazing, made me a tad tearful hehehe.  I bought the soundtrack today as well, so I can listen whenever I want!  I knew the words already, having worked late shifts at the park and hearing the music, but not seeing the fireworks!  After that finished, instead of making my way with the rest of the crowd,  I took a Cast Member Only entrance and went through the tunnels   So much quicker!

And so now I'm going to go off to bed because I have to be up at 6.50am tomorrow!  I have my assessment  I hope I don't fail!  No one had before!

Night xxx  Don't forget to wish!

12.2.2006: EPCOT

Yay today was my day off!  So I got up and decided to go to EPCOT.  I took the bus to the Transportation and Ticket Centre (TTC) and then got the monorail to EPCOT! Woo!  Got there and ooooooooooooh my goodness it was cold!  I went on Spaceship Earth first.  I always love that ride.  In fact I think I love every ride so it's pointless in me saying that!  After that I went and got lunch.  Mmmmmm chicken strips and chips.  Only trouble was there was no room inside, so I had to go outside.  Almost got attacked by birds and had to keep shooing them away, and almost got jumped on by a squirrel!  It was perched on the chair by my table, so I pushed the chair and it nearly went flying  Decided then it was best that I left!  Hmmm, after that I did a bit of shopping!  Not much mind, just taking advantage of my discount and bought a few aerial toppers! Three in fact.  Took a look at the music CD's as well.  I want so many!  If anyone feels like sending my the Wishes soundtrack, don't hesitate!

I queued for nearly two hours to go on Soarin'!  I didn't mind, I had nothing else better to do!  It's such an amazing ride too! Mmmm smelling those oranges.  Anyway, went and got myself a cookie, and then decided it was too cold.  I was going to go on Test Track but it's shut until the 15th .  So got the monorail back to the TTC and then the bus to the Disney Uni, where I was going to get two more aprons from costumes, but they're only open Sunday mornings.  I will have to make sure I keep my one clean, until I can get another one!  So I came back here into the warmth!  I went out a while ago to the Disney gift shop up the road, to see if they had a tin lunchbox (because I so want one to take my food in) but they didn't have the one I wanted so Alaina is going to get me the princess one when she goes to Walmart tomorrow. Yay!

Well it's only 9.20pm here, and I watched Extreme Makeover Home Edition tonight!  It's only on once a week, on Sunday's at 7, but lasts for two hours because of all the breaks!  But at least I get to watch it and they are all new

I'm going to go read my book.  As I have nothing better to do.  I'm working nearly 50 hours this week, with only 1 day off on Thursday, so I will need my rest!  At least I don't start until 3.15pm tomorrow!  We're going to get some board games to play because we like them hehe, like Disney Monopoly and Disney Trivia (to brush up on our knowledge! )

Cinderella is on!

I'm away!

10.2.2006: Disney MGM Studios!

Woo well today was my day off!  I lounged around all morning and then finally at about 12 decided I need some ride action.  I said yesterday I was going to EPCOT, but I changed my mind and went to Disney MGM Studio's instead.  I felt right back at home when I got there, even when I was on the Disney buses it felt like I was on holiday again!

Took advantage of my CM discount and bought a glasses case so my glasses wouldn't get lost on rides!  Once inside the park I was at a loss of what to do!  Went and bought a 2006 pin to add to my collection, and then experienced the Great Movie Ride!  I love that ride, how awesome would it be to be a CM on it.  You must have to learn a long spiel LOL.  I then went on the Tower of Terror!  I love that ride too, and didn't have to wait that long!  I want to work there so much, I just love the trenchcoats!  Then ventured over to the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.  The queue was 40 minutes long but well worth the wait.  I love that ride too! Haha.  Did a bit of shopping after, bought a cheerleader viser in the sale! AND I got CM discount! Yay!  Went to watch Beauty and the Beast too, I love all the shows.  If I got a chance to be in one I'd be straight there.  Shame my singing and dancing isn't up to scratch LOL.  I was going to stay and watch Fantasmic, but I was kinda tired so came back here!

I've got training tomorrow at MK and I need to be up at 5.30 so I guess I should go to bed.  I am so tired, it's really odd.

Nighty Nighty my lovelies

Defy Gravity! and who knows where your dreams will take you!

9.2.2006: Bennigans!

Well this is certainly a fun place.  After having dinner, I was chatting to Will (UK participant from the Commons) on msn, and he invited me to Bennigans (an Irish pub).  So at about 7 Alaina, Yvonne and myself walked up the road to Walgreens so they could get some towels, and then went next door to Bennigans.  We didn't drink as we thought we would get termintated.  All the UK participants are great!  Wish I was at the Common's LOL.  They told us never to go into the Vista Way jacqcuzi (sp?), apparently some gross stuff happens in there.  Bleugh

So tomorrow we're off to EPCOT to do stuff!  I'm tired, still knackered from long classes and lack of sleep, so I better get to bed.

Remember to leave messages in my guestbook people!

Night!

7.2.2006: Yay!

Hehe.  Had two new arrivals today  A TV and a DVD player.... all for $135!  What a bargin.  Trouble is now we need a cable lead to actually get channels. and a cable to connect the DVD player to the Tv.  A little trip to Walgreens is in order tomorrow methinks.  I think the people at Walmart think we spend all our evenings there.  Our fridge is looking quite healthy actually!  Lots of green stuff.  Mai cooked for us tonight, rice with veg and mince... very yummy seeing as we were all starving.  I managed to buy some cork boards and pin them to the wall to  put stuff on as we're not allowed to use bluetak but we're allowed to pin a board to the wall so that's what I've done.  Also stuck some pictures to the frame of our mirror so getting those done wasn't a complete waste of time, money and energy (yes driving to Tesco's requires much energy when you could be lying in bed!)  So right now im drinking tea and eating biscuits LOL, and really should go to bed because we have Traditions tomorrow, but thats not until 11.30, so I can stay up a little later. Yay.

Niiiiiiiiiiight

6.2.2006: First Full Day!

Well this is my first full day, so I better fill you in on what has happened.  Not a lot to be honest.  The flight was good but long.  We were in Ecomony Plus on United Airlines though, so there was good leg room.  Films were good too, and I slept on the flight from Washington to Orlando.  The transfer was really easy.

Anyway then we went to get our luggage, which took ages to come, and we were greeted by the people from Disney, who put us on a bus and we were taken to Vista Way!!!

I then spent the evening unpacking and making a complete mess of our room.  Then my roomate and I (can't actually remember her name at the moment argh! She's from Vietnam so I don't know how to spell it either!) went to Walgreens and bought some essentials, but we're off to Walmart later so that will be fun.  I can get my pillows!

Good job I had my duvet last night, it was a little chilly with the air conditioning!  The others were so cold!

It's a little chilly this morning too, but at 12 we have our Recruiting check-in and then at 2 we have our Housing Welcome session and I have to go to the Commons for that.

Right I better go dry my hair and straigten it and what not.

Catch up later!
